Hillary Clinton advisers and confidantes have begun pushing hard for vice presidential candidates, but one name is conspicuously absent from the purported shirt list: Senator Bernie Sanders. At one of two MSNBC town hall events Monday night, All In host Chris Hayes asked Sanders if he would consider ticketing up with Hillary when the nomination fight is over, and although Bernie promised a predictable non-answer, he delivered a response that was engorged with possibility:

---

HAYES: This has obviously been a contentious fight, on the Democratic side, although not, I think, the most contentious. There have been — I went down in the archives to look at 2008, it got pretty ugly —

SANDERS: Yeah it did.

HAYES: — and you know 1980 on the Republican side got pretty ugly and Kennedy and Carter — there’s a long list. One of the things that happens, sometimes in those contested intramural disputes is someone had the other person serve on their ticket or in their administration. Would you consider that in this case, either having Hillary Clinton on your ticket or being on hers?

SANDERS: Well let me just answer that question in exactly the way you knew I would answer it. And that is to say right now we are running as hard as we can to win this thing, and at the end of the process we’ll take a look at what’s going on, but right now my job is to get as many delegates as possible and try to win the nomination for President. But you knew that that would be my answer.

.. against Trump .. and who? :0)

Crazy bernie claims he is for the little man...then he quickly acknowledges that clinton butters his bread. What a laugher. Of course we all knew he would put his knee pads on for her.

:0) So you think this is new to politics .. never happened on the republican side?

So why exactly should Sanders turn down the VP slot? Other than it scares the shit out of you?

It doesn't scare me at all. I think trump, sanders, and clinton are all worthless.

No, its just funny that sanders folks think he is really for the little man.

In comparison to Trump, Clinton, Obama and most politicians in Washington .. he is.

His ideology doesn't fare well for the populace. It has been swallowed up in the ash heap numerous times due to its core philosophy of the state owning the majority interests. It always ends in disaster. Why we can't learn from history leaves me dumbfounded. Since real history isn't taught, I understand now.

What all history has shown is that capitalism doesn't give a rats ass about 'the little guy.'

What history has shown is that the little guy fares much better under socialism .. which is no stranger to America.

Without America's capitalism, the world would be exponentially poorer and in much worse condition. Socialism is worthless.

Heartless Hillary is not....I prefer to call her Crooked Hillary!

you know what....Crooked Heartless Hillary is too centrist & bland to pick a strong progressive as VP!

There's a reason Bernie Sanders will not be Hillary Clinton's VP pick. If Clinton were to pick Sanders as her VP pick she would lose the election. IOW Republicans would use his radical left wing policies, and his praising of Fidel Castro to defeat her. It wouldn't be about her policies it would be about his.
Bernie Sanders heaped praise on Fidel Castro in 1985 interview

THE REASON FOR THE 714 DEMOCRAT SUPER DELEGATES IS 1984. They were instituted in an effort to avoid the next election disaster. This country is center, it always has been, it always will be. It's also founded on a hard work, pay your own way ethic. It's in our genetics. It will not elect far left or far right candidates, much less a recognized & confirmed socialist that is out there campaigning on free college tuition, adding an additional 29 trillion dollars to government spending when we're already 19 trillion in RED ink. The taxpayers of this country may be politically ignorant, but when it comes to their wallets, they won't elect a candidate that campaigns on new massive government spending. And they're not stupid enough to believe they won't get the bill.

So if Bernie Sanders were the nominee of this party, this is what election night would look like. Just move the blue part over to Vermont.

Reagan v Mondale--1984

So instead of threatening Super Delegates, you should be Thanking them. And when Hillary Clinton slaughters Donald Trump--I imagine that the Republican Party will be looking to add some Super Delegates of their own.

In fact, in these open primary states there has been a lot of Operation Bernie voting going on by Republicans looking for the weakest candidate to steam roll and bury on election night.

Hopefully, you do recognize that democrats have been playing the same game .. voting for Trump in open primary states looking for the weakest candidate to bury in the general.

Trump plus Jesus as his running mate would get buried in this election .. and I'm pretty sure that Jesus is not on Trump's side.

Yes, I am very well aware of that. In fact they had a CNN Trump focus group, all of whom just voted for Trump in Wisconsin. When the host asked how many of them had voted for Trump so Hillary Clinton could get an easy win, 1/2 of the focus group raised their hands.

Hillary Clinton will most certainly be the next POTUS. Half Republican women will be voting for her, and there are millions of Republican men that will vote for her, just to keep Trump out of the oval office.
Poll: Nearly half of Republican women wouldn't vote for Trump
73 percent of women voters have an 'unfavorable' view of Donald Trump
I’ll Take Hillary Clinton Over Donald Trump

Then Hispanics all 23 million of them are in Hillary Clinton's column, when the GOP nominee needed at least 46% of this block to win the White house, Trump is polling at a Negative 80%.
Poll: 8 in 10 Hispanics don’t like Trump
GOP Win Will Need More Than 40 Percent Of Latino 2016 Vote, Says Study

Republicans only hope this year was for a Bernie Sanders nominee.

Well said my friend.

You and I both know that republicans know it's hopeless. That's why Trump is the nominee. Republicans know they no longer have the numbers to win a serious presidential election anymore .. and THEY know that it's only going to get worse for them.

Thus, why not throw intelligence to the wind and support PT Barnum for president?
