Bernie Sanders Is Pushing For America To Become France And Greece.....4 Day Work Week.....Became Rude & Aggressive With Reporter Over It

  1. Never take economic advice from someone who has never had a job (Karl Marx, Bernie Sanders, HRC, etc.).
  2. A "populist" is a politician who tries to make political hay by promoting envy of one "class" by another. It goes without saying that Sanders is a populist.
  3. In these days, there need be no correlation between productivity and income. The greatest productivity gains have nothing to do with the skill or effort of the workers, but rather technological advancements in their tools.
  4. There is nothing wrong with advocating a 32-hour work week, as long as compensation follows the economic value of the workers. But if the 3-day weekend is the goal, four tens is the more logical path to follow.
  5. Congress has no Constitutional power or authority to dictate the work week. It's only relevant power is the power to "regulate commerce...among the several States," which has nothing to do with compensation or the work-week.

Some companies are doing it. Some won't. Leave it up to them. But with way too many people in the workforce it is really easy to find a good worker. At no time had it ever been easier to find employees.

Of course this post is completely stupid and wrong. Bernie is an independent and has been quite consistent on this and many other ideas for years and years.
His take on the economy borders on Insanity however.
While he is correct in saying that productivity is up more nearly 400% from the 1950s due to automation he failed to account for the increased cost of running a larger society per capita. I'm also a fan of the 4-day work week for 10-hour days instead of 5/8 hour days is a much more efficient protocol.

4 x 10 ..... Much better idea!

4 x 8 is probably more efficient. People are in general less productive as the work day goes on, those 9th and 10th hours will find productivity waning

4 10s should be the standard. Happier employees

As many companies as possible should move away from hourly pay and basing productivity on hours worked. While some industries will never be able to, many could. Get paid to do a job, not put in hours.

I like your reasoning. Here is your agenda today. Accomplish it in 4 hours you're done for the day. Or when 10 hours comes drop it right there.

Depends on the intensity of the task... But as a rule yes the end of the work day is less productive than the beginning regardless of the length of the shift. There's more to this than simply the labor component. Blocks of energy consumption are more efficient. There's a full 20% reduction in commutor load. The three-day weekend uninterrupted is more than 33% additionally healthful It's actually about 50% more.

There is one sneaky little detail here too; 24-hour positions have become very popular in health care. I suspect a person working a 4-day work week would probably take a part-time job on the other three days.

Yeah, there is some of that going on. It is sad to think than someone working a 4 day week would need to work the other 3 days.

People in this country have their priorities all screwed up. People should work to live, not live to work.

I honeymooned in Montreal, does that makes me a socialist?
Only similarity is both cities start with the letter "M".

Course things have changed since you went on your honeymoon.

Interesting fact, because Democrats run blue cities you'd probably enjoy the safety and security in Moscow right now over the crime and filth in NYC.
But you'll still have to worry about being arrested for being a spy if you went to Moscow right now. And don't try praying outside in Montreal. They're arresting people for openly showing a love for Christ the Lord.

That isn't human nature. Human nature is to survive. Now that we have gone past mere survival work is what we do to make sure we stay out of that survival level existence.

Fake News backed with misinformation = fraudulent
Where have you been for the last 20 years? Sanders desires total Socialism (aka communism) in spite of the Constitution of the United States and the Allied Commander of the WWII armed forces who warned us of the greater threat than Hitler's Fascist Nazi Regime to be communism.. Gen. Eisenhower also requested Congress to pass the Anti-Communist Act of 1954. He preferred freedom for the average citizens rather than Nazism and Communism he felt was the worst of two egregious evils.
