Bain-gate: What Do Romney's Tax Returns Say?

When ever a Thread devolves into a bunch of people from the same side of the Isle agreeing with each other on how right they are. You can pretty much Assume they are idiots.

lol

You actually read what those morons post?

There's about a dozen people that give a shit about Bain outside MSNBC: rdean and dante are two.

yeah, that's why Romney went on 5 major networks in one day -- whining like a stuck pig and the whole right wing noise machine went into overdrive on this one.

Refuting and requesting an apology form Obama's campaign is hardly 'whining'.
If that is your def of 'whining', you win that award!

Whining "It's not true" on 5 major networks in one day. Romney rarely gives an interview to national press.

:laugh2:

It's the economy...dumbass.

What part of this don't you get.

You want to push Romney into a shouting match over crapp like this......If the riots start here protesting Obama's pathetic leadership and lack of respect for the Constitution.....I'll be joining.

What won't jackassObama talk about the economy....other than to say 3.5 years into the first term....that we need to take a long term view of it ? What more does he want ?

Bain-gate: What Do Romney's Tax Returns Say?

Romney can settle the dispute over his tenure at Bain by releasing the tax returns.

What did Romney claim on his tax returns?

Democrats say Romney tax returns could clarify Bain departure date - latimes.com

""Either Mitt Romney misrepresented his tenure at Bain to the SEC or he misrepresented it to the voters of Massachusetts," said Ben LaBolt, an Obama campaign spokesman, on Fox News. "If he released more documents, like further tax returns, we would know the extent of his involvement at Bain during this period. If he released board minutes, we'd know the extent of his involvement at Bain.""

This is a pitiful attack by the desperate. Romney's tax returns aren't going to tell you anything you don't know already know right now. The left is pretending they just can't grasp the law here regarding SEC documents. Bainers are now the new Birthers. Except they have zero to go on and this line of attack has been REPEATEDLY proven to be nothing but BULLSHIT. Just because the SEC document shows you are an owner of SHARES in a company does NOT mean you actually have a managerial role! That is all the SEC documents really show. Bain itself has repeatedly said Romney had NO managerial role in Bain after he left in 1999 although he did still own shares and therefore required to file SEC documents showing that. Which he did. We all know the left is demanding more income tax returns so it can go on and on pretending a rich Romney is somehow more "out of touch" with the real world than a rich Obama who never held a real job in his life. Get OVER it. There is zero to the Bain bullshit but hey, Obama is running out of distractions of the day to deflect attention from his HORRIBLE RECORD that made things WORSE.

END OF BAIN DISCUSSION. Nothing but a pitiful line of attack with Obama repeatedly called out for pushing what he now knows are nothing but proven LIES. What do you call someone who keeps repeating lies knowing full well they are lies but believes they are still lies that can be effective to undercut Romney's support anyway? Hmm?

For those going on and on pretending Romney was involved in law breaking shady deals and schemes based on nothing but wishful thinking -maybe its time to remember Romney has had all his finances in a blind trust since 2004. He has ZERO control over how it is invested and in fact isn't allowed BY LAW to know. He is also one of the very few governors who was elected to office and then refused to take a salary. Did multimillionaire Obama do that? Hell no -instead he and his family stuck taxpayers with the tab for their nonstop uber luxurious and nonstop vacations even as he is trying to spend the nation into bankruptcy as quickly as possible. Just as is the written game plan of Marxists -and let's not kid ourselves about Obama anymore, ok? The man is a communist. His mother was a socialist, his father and stepfather were communists and his mentor is a self-avowed communist. He wasn't educated here, he didn't grow up here -in his values, if nothing else -he is not American.

But in order to detract from those FACTS the left insists we all pretend one person who is a multimillionaire without having created anything is somehow more "in touch" with the average person than another multimillionaire with significant private sector experience, private sector jobs and who really did create thousands of jobs. Are you KIDDING? The commie sitting in the White House who just said government really gets the credit for the drive, ambition and innovation of the successful small business owner??? THAT guy is more in touch? ROFLMAO!

Obama has NOTHING in common with the average person, has no real world experience, has no idea what it takes to meet payroll, what it takes to build a successful business, no idea that the average successful small business owner failed three times before getting it right, work an average 60 hours a week - and deserves ALL the credit for picking themselves up again and again, learning from their mistakes and still went for it, refusing to lay down a beaten, defeated person. Thank God for people like THAT! What does any of that have to do with the guy in the White House who thinks big, massive, powerful government is responsible for the success of those who refuse to give up and can't help but repeatedly show his utter CONTEMPT for them instead? Obama has NOTHING in common with the average American and in fact repeatedly shows his disdain and contempt for the founding principles of this country while insisting Americans need to bow down to government as their "benevolent master" as communists like to pretend it is.

Screw him. Government does NOT create wealth -it TAKES it from those who do. Its very existence relies on those who create wealth yet we have communist morons in the Executive branch who are SO out of touch with reality they refuse to learn the repeated and proven lessons of history that communism is a FAILURE and has done nothing but massively increase human misery.

ignore Belle-curve rantings. focus on timelines of claims in filings, Bain press releases and Campaign statements. inconsistencies will show.

there is more. mo imbecile on a message board has all the skills and time to sift through it all forget about digest it all adequately.
these Belle-curves hijack most every thread here.

but...this time a story has legs. Romney has spent far too much energy and time attempting to kill the story. he has fed it.

It's still summer. a very long and nasty campaign is on the horizon....hundreds of millions of dollars are yet to be spent.

define Romney now. Do NOT allow side issues and gotcha games to detract.

do not allow personal pissing contests to flood threads and kill threads.

do not allow wingnuts to bury the good stuff.

Yes please focus on timeline of filings. SEC filing in 2000 to begin with.

ROFL! PLEASE start with what you 'know' (MotherJones=fail) and continue your quest to find the truth.
Your quest falls in line with your statement: 'mo imbecile on a message board has all the skills and time to sift through it all forget about digest it all adequately.'

You have zero clue what I do for a living or what info I can lay my fingertips on in a heartbeat.

really?

and you know this how?

I can think of a thousand more important things to worry about then Romney's tax returns/length of tenure at Bain. This whole thing is bordering on pants-crapping INSANITY!

Obama released TWELVE years worth of his tax returns.

Romney released ONE.

Romney could settle this entire situation by doing what most presidential nominees, even his own dad, have done election after election.

What is he hiding?

Romney is only obligated to release the tax returns from the past couple of years.

Anything else is a deliberate deflection from the failed presidency of Barak Obama.

Romney may not want his tax returned exposed, he may need to hide it.

Mitt Romney would later describe it as one of his biggest regrets about his first run for public office.

In 1994, Romney was a virtual unknown running to unseat Ted Kennedy as U.S. senator from Massachusetts. He campaigned on his business record as a turnaround artist at Bain Capital. But Democrats turned Romney's Bain record against him, casting him as a cold-blooded capitalist who put profits before workers.

The Democratic argument was illustrated by a strike at the Ampad paper plant in Marion, Ind., which had recently been acquired by Bain. The firm had fired most of the plant's employees, offering to rehire them back for reduced wages and benefits. Romney, who was on leave from Bain at the time because of the campaign, had no direct role in the Ampad dispute, but Kennedy seized upon the drama inside the company. Kennedy even appeared with some of Ampad's workers, who traveled to Massachusetts to protest Romney's claim of being a job creator at Bain.

Romney left himself open for attack;

Obama spent two days campaigning in tightly contested Virginia last week, reminding voters of the discrepancies between Securities and Exchange Commission filings and Romney's recollection of his role at Bain Capital. Obama's deputy campaign manager, Stephanie Cutter, suggested Thursday Romney might be guilty of a felony for misrepresenting his position at Bain to the SEC.

Apparently he feels that the bad rap for not revealing his taxes would be outweighed by revealing them.
