As recession looms, who will Biden blame?

7 Apr 2023 ~~ By Liz Peek

It’s the economy, stupid.
Those famous words from Democratic strategist James Carville must be haunting President Biden’s White House as the economy begins to slow — and just as the 2024 election moves into view.
Most recently, the job market appears to be faltering, with March gains pegged at 236,000, way down from February’s 311,000 and the 334,000 recorded on average over the past six months.
This is challenging for Biden, who hopes to run for reelection and has relied on solid employment gains to prove that his “economic plan is working.” It’s been a tough sell, seeing that inflation has caused real wages to decline for two years in a row; writing last fall, the Dallas Fed noted that the hit from inflation was “the most severe faced by employed workers over the past 25 years.”
Biden’s approval ratings on the economy, according to Real Clear Politics’ average of polls, is a disastrous 37 percent.

Many economists are now anticipating a recession beginning in the third quarter of this year. The severity of that downturn is unknown, but we will likely see an even weaker job market.
Biden has been extremely critical of Donald Trump, blaming his predecessor for the sharp economic downturn and job losses brought on by the COVID shutdowns.
Who will he blame for the recession that is nearly upon us?

Commentary:
By spending $7 trillion, the full assault on petroleum production in America and Biden's weak kneed foreign policies, Americans can expect more of the same unless the leadership of this country can be changed from Maoist Socialist Democracy and returned to a Republic.

The jobs report was stellar. Joe Biden threaded that needle like a pro. Job growth to keep the economy going but not so much fainting goats pass out from inflation fears. That dude is rocking it!

He will blame DT & his progbot minions will parrot whatever they are told to say.

They blamed the Afghan debacle on DT yesterday & have blamed higher fuel prices, inflation, train wrecks, Chinese balloons, Russia war, bank failings & all the flu deaths on him so far.
He's flailing with a shit economy & the dollar teetering on collapse.
Only idiots feel he's doing a good job by any measure.
Don't believe me? Look at the gaslight crap above ^^^^

Trump, of course. The stuttering shit clown is taking credit for the jobs that came back after the total (and unnecessary) shutdown during the scamdemic, but there's some other issues that loom - 3 major bank failures, the collapse of the dollar overseas and 32 straight months of decreased real wages (take home pay after inflation).

Everything the groomers touch turns to shit..... and then dies. It's not just a stereotype.

That's an easy question. Biden will blame Trump. Trump Derangement Syndrome is alive and well.

Cornpop.

Trump failed, bailed, and will be jailed.

Biden is doing well considering the mess he inherited.

Any recession will be a very, very soft soft landing for those who prepared.

Those who lose their jobs will find nine million to choose from.

Is it really a recession without huge job loss and high Unemployment?
It's a weird recession...that's for sure.

Freight is down, freight rates are down...strangely, whatever is going on hasn't hit main street...yet.

But it's comin'...

"Meanwhile, recent indicators show a steep declines in freight. The American Trucking Association's for-hire contract truck tonnage index dropped to 95.8 in March from 101.3 the month prior, hitting the lowest level since August 2021."

Take a look at a disturbing chart from cardboard box and packaging manufacturers...

Hilarious

That recession seems to be 6 months away all the time.

In the fever swamp's echo chambers.
