Another winning issue for Trump

Don't be a sucker. He had no plan from 2016 to 2020. It was all a lie, as none were introduced. It is a lie now. It is not likely the 15 million covered under the Affordable Care Act, right now are goint to trust him so come up with one, since his repeal and replace plan was big on repeal and non-existent on replace.
for someone with no plan he sure had things kicking ass before China fucked the entire planet.

thats absolutely indisputable.

Getting rid of Obamacare will surely get votes for Trump. It was never popular with anyone I knew. Sounds like Trump will make this a priority.

This time I really, really will repeal and replace Obamacare, pay off the debt, reduce the trade deficit with China and Mexico, build the Wall and make Mexico pay for it, bring back coal jobs, remove all illegal aliens, and grow the economy by 4 to 6 percent every year! Bleev me, folks. Bleev me. Bleev me. That I can tell you.

Why replace it with anything?
What a massively ignorant question.

This is the standard idiot response when the New Right is stumped on how to fix our broken health care costs.

Now, when finally cornered with the fact the GOP and Donald Trump have lied and never had a replacement for Obamacare, the rubes retreat to, "Just repeal it, and call it good!"

As if just repealing Obamacare and replacing it with NOTHING will solve the problem of skyrocketing health care costs.

You either suffer from amnesia, or are being deliberately obtuse.

The whole reason we have Obamacare is because costs were skyrocketing for DECADES before Obamacare.

So a simple repeal will solve nothing.

Sounds like a real picnic.

I've found that not to be the case at all.

I had to have a medical procedure done because I am having difficulty swallowing. I have 80/20 insurance I pay almost 100 dollars a week for through my employer. They were going to charge me 450 if filed through insurance and I would be responsible for 100% since I hadn't met my deductible yet. I told them to charge me and redo everything straight, no insurance, and the bill was 117 dollars. I got the paperwork to prove it.

Why replace it with anything? Nobody is being denied health care in America. Between private insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid, there no need for another taxpayer-funder form of health care.

So someone without private insurance has to go to the hospital, they're not going to be turned away. And if they run up a debt for medical treatment, they should pay it off, not the taxpayers.

That's how things work in the US. There is no "Big Rock Candy Mountain", that's just socialist psychobabble.
I understand how things work in the US, what I don't understand is how anyone justifies it. I guess being a conservative means accepting the status quo while being a progressive means wanting something better.

This is what we pay:

He had a plan on healthcare? What was it, and why didn't he have it discussed in Congress?

I was speaking in general, compared to what we currently have, and what we had before.

and its indisputable.
Other than the border, I am not at all unhappy with it. I can't work up a good suffering mindset. Maybe its the three vacations, and new deck parkitecture addition on the house (all paid off), along with the excellent Christmas, with all the running around, shopping local (all paid off), even with the heavy traffic and crowds. Add to that, the low unemployment, the high employment numbers, the decrease in inflation, the wage hikes, highest GDP in history, along with highest oil and gas productions in history, puts me in a situation, even on relatively fixed income, to have difficulty seeing how bad you think things are, compare to how they are around here.

I do wish you were doing better, and not sure what got you into trouble, but I don't see the problem. So, I dispute what you say is undisputable, with ease. Look up the numbers. They tell the story.

you got all that from me saying Trump did a fantastic job before covid?

fuckin eh you need to put down the crack pipe.

every time someone talks about the current shitty situation you go on a rant about how great YOU are doing (im doing damn fine as well) like YOU are the only person in existence. Youre a clown. Im so happy that YOU are doing so wonderful. But the numbers do tell a much different story for a huge segment of the population.....and thats why you will be crying come November.

So, who is it that has it bad? I see trumpers on here all the time, talking about how bad it seems to them. But, invariably on here, they say they are fine. It's like something you read about and type on the internet about, but you guys are doing fine also, and like me, don't know people personally doing bad. I am beginning to think it is just political bullshit.

Strange that all the people who think things are shitty tend to doing "damn fine." Everyone must be an exceptional case!

The final national health care spending numbers for 2022 came out earlier this month. Turns out we're pretty much exactly where we were in 2010 when the ACA passed: health care costs the nation just over 17% of GDP. Showing just nominal dollar amounts masks that incomes and GDP have grown just as much as health care spending since the ACA passed, meaning that relative health care costs have been more or less frozen for over a decade (the transient COVID spike aside). Astonishing and unprecedented stuff.

Trump should not even remind voters of his failure with health care. He'll just gets mocked. Who are his campaign advisers?
What was Trump’s “failure” with healthcare? Not having John McCain’s legs broken?

What was Trump’s “failure” with healthcare? Not having John McCain’s legs broken?

McCain's complaint was that the Senate was trying to sneak an ill-considered bill through without going through regular order. Which it was. There were no hearings, no committee markups, no debate. Plus the bill itself was a piece of shit.

If the GOP had actually come with an actual replacement plan, as they promised for a decade, and put it through the legislative process, maybe they would've gotten McCain's vote. But the "repeal-and-replace" lie turned out to be too much for him.

I fully support him scrapping obozocare.
I oppose any “replacement” that is run by the federal government.
There is no mention of individual’s healthcare being the purview of the fed-gov in the Constitution.
