Go Green they tell us. while our energy cost skyrocket from fuel, to electricity, to heating your home.
Meanwhile, Putin as predicted has shutdown the fuel lines of the Nord Stream and other pipelines to Europe.
It looks like a lot of people in Europe will be spending cold days and nights this winter and states like Kalifornia and Oregon will sufer blackouts.

"In one of her first major policy announcements, new British Prime Minister Liz Truss promised to approve more North Sea oil drilling, and lift a ban on fracking to increase domestic energy supply amid soaring prices. During a recent visit to Canada, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz expressed hope that Canadian LNG imports will play a "major role" in his country's energy strategy."

Hey, here's a crazy idea: believe it or not, it's within our technological capability to run power lines underground or otherwise in contained spaces! Even high tension lines. It is a lot more expensive than going over the land, but you'd never have to cut the power or worry about the wind or it starting a fire, and the sheer lack of breakdowns and maintenance compared with landlines alone would pay for the expense in ten years!

The cost in my AO to do so was 10 to 15 times the cost of a overhead line and that was many years ago.....Of course that cost is passed directly on to consumers.

In CA that would cut into the kickback dollars for politicians, imagine that would be the same in OR.
