It sounds like a freak show but the key to the story is the fact that concerned citizens are engaging in their 1st Amendment right to work within the system and peacefully protest a retail outlet that they find offensive. Democrats and socialists would probably firebomb the store if they were selling confederate flags. Politicians might be pressured into closing the store or they might not. You would think that concerned citizens in the Chicago suburbs would be more worried about Police protection and the fact that it is estimated 1,000 people will likely be killed by gang bangers the end of the year but that's another matter.
