IF you want people to be able to pay for their own college education, then they are going to need to make more than the current minimum wage, because for a lot of people, that would be an impossible expectation. You can't get a GOOD job with no education. See how that works?

Begging the question. When I present an argument, in a debate, you respond to my point. See how that works?

No one pays someone more than they are worth. If they are worth less than the minimum wage, they don’t get a job. The idea that businesses say crap, they are worth $5 but I have to pay them $7.25 doesn’t happen. They don’t get jobs, period. How is that going to help them pay for their own college education?

And even if it did work, you are obsessed with someone else providing your charity, aren’t you? Government redistribution, forcing businesses to overpay. While your wallet sits securely unmolested while you claim to be the generous, caring one.

Note if I get my way, you still can make your own choices. If you get your way, your way is forced on me. That doesn’t bother you at all, does it?

No they don't fail. Some of them suck and do fail. Others may not be perfect but things could be MUCH worse without them. Face facts, times have changed a lot and things are not as simple as they used to be. Things are MUCH more expensive and MUCH more complicated nowadays.

To pay that off and other living expenses, the person would have to work a 40K with a high school degree. That doesn't exist in this world for young people.

One, plenty of colleges charge less than 18K per year.

Two, if you can't afford to pay tuition now, then you . . . take out a student loan and pay it off very gradually after you graduate. Student loans typically have very low interest rates and give you plenty of time for repayment.

Three, if you don't want or can't get a student loan, then you do what many of us have done: You take a semester or two off each year to work full time to pay your tuition and other expenses.

Yeah...and for the default period as reported on the Credit Reporting Agencies, the little ingrate fucks credit is trash...
And in case your rock under which you live, good credit is not just for borrowing money..
Here is a short list of things for which one needs a good credit rating
1. housing...If one wishes to rent an apartment, a credit check is done. Bad credit? GO elsewhere.
2 Insurance. If one wants auto or other liability insurance, a good credit rating means lower rates. The opposite is true for dead beats.
3. Employment. Employers not only perform NCIC background checks, they also perform credit checks. Bad credit rating? Sorry, you can't work here.
So these little deadbeat fucks whose mommy and daddy coddled them throughout their sheltered lives, are going to have their cupcakes living at home for a while because that degree doesn't mean shit. "you want fries with that?"
Oh A tax refund? Forget it....Oh! Wait a minute....Can't get a job. Why? Shit credit.
Here's the rules....You accept the money, you pay it back. Period.....Try that shit with a home or car loan...They take it away....And you get shit.

They drop your credit rating to zero...

He was able to lower interest which had been at 9-10% since Reagan....Down to 5.3%....My first student loan in 1980 was for 1K, at an interest rate of 1%..Paid 25 bucks every other month....
