In Walmart's case, the only option the workers have is to receive substandard wages, and rely on government subsistence for the rest of their needs, or to quit, and totally rely on subsistence. Don't say the employees can just find another job. Walmart is the biggest employer in the world. All their jobs aren't just for teenagers to make a few extra bucks.
