I watched the video by the young woman. I have just the opposite story. I was raised to be a Democrat. When a Republican name came up in our house, he was the enemy. My Mom came from Oklahoma and left there devoted to FDR. She also raised her children not to be racists. I first encountered racism by being around blacks in the Army. I was shocked to learn that a black in my Army unit got pissed he did not instantly command the use of a row of telephones for the troops to use, so he went to his locker and got a large knife out and killed a trooper in the phone booth. Still that did not change me from a Democrat. The Kool-Aid was sweet apparently. I studied a hell of a lot as an adult in my then early 40s and examined just what parties in all ranges were all about. I looked at many of them. At the end, the correct path for me was to vote for Republicans.
