Zone1 You're all a bunch of Jews for the most part, whether you like it or not

The Gnostic nonsense was mostly just early antisemitic rants, so yes, you do need a lot of guidance.
Clearly

Instead of reading and studying the Nag Hammadi Library for the past 30 tests, I should have just listened to you.

The Vatican must have 10 other Nag Hammadis in their vaults

True. Walther Bauer and Elaine Pagels are full of BS. Glad you realize it now.

Not sure if English is your first language, but I said that I’ve read the Gospels repeatedly. Downloaded directly from Nag Hammadi Library over a fax modem if I recall

Suppose Good and Evil were simply descriptive terms of a spectrum with two polarities.
Ying -- Yang ish .
I struggle with that because I don't believe evil is extant. I believe evil exists as a negation of the thing that does exist much like cold is the absence of heat and darkness is the absence of light. Evil is the absence of good.
It would be far too frightening for Sheeple to realise that Evil is necessary for there to be any Good .
Far too complex for the Munchers .
Evil (i.e. the absence of good) absolutely does serve a purpose but I wouldn't recommend it as a way of life. Evil serves as a backdrop, making the "light" of good shine brighter. It allows for the development of virtues such as patience, compassion, humility, and strength, which might not be forged otherwise. It's easy to see "evil" when "evil" is being done to you. It's harder to see "evil" when you are the one doing it. Bottom line... it's not virtuous to be forced to be virtuous. You have to choose it. That's free will in a nutshell.

They were socialists through and through. They couldn't reconcile the NT to the OT so they created two gods. The god of the OT which was the god of the material world and evil, and the god of the NT which was the god of the spiritual world and was good. In practice they were a morally reprehensible lot. Even today many people cannot reconcile the NT to the OT. They use the OT - which they do not understand - to dismiss the NT which they can find no fault in. It's crazy stupid logic.

All religion is myth. Its one of the few areas left where the US has a leadership position....the # of citizens who think some guy on a cloud controls their fate. Its little wonder that 1/2 the voting public voted for a 34X convicted felon...they’re mentally ill.

Good luck with that

If you believe Moses was a prophet, congratulations! Your religion is built on the foundation of the Old Testament, and as such, it is Jewish.

Do whatever you have to do to cope with this: You most likely have Jewish roots.

Both Christianity and Islam are in fact, undeniably offshoots of Judaism.

Why this would offend any Christian is completely beyond me. I have spent the last nearly year and a half reading the OT. I mean....yes

As an afterthought: there is one sect of Judaism that seriously ticks me off: the Hasidic Jews who do not work, do not have any income, study the Torah all day, have a million kids, and live off taxpayers.

But then....anyone who does that for no good reason ticks me off tbh

Ignoring the question of God for the moment... why don't humans celebrate evil? Think about it. Humans do all sorts of bad things. And almost always they rationalize the bad things they did were justified. Why is that? Why don't they just say, I did what I did and I don't care what you think?

The shame factor I think. We make value judgments for people who act “good” and we make other value jugments for people who act “bad”.

Ironically, Conan O’Brien and Ken Burns were just talking about this on last week’s podcast. Ken was talking about his documentary about baseball and how the guys who hit home runs often look to the heavens when they step on home plate. They never shake their fist at the heavens when they ground into a double play. If god is responsible for one, he’s responsible for the other.

Obviously you didn't understand them. That's why you need people to tell you what to think, like all conspiracy believers.
