While you copied a lot of information from the Institute for Research: Middle East Policy Website, you forgot to mention that "Since the American Israel Public Affairs Committee's incorporation in 1963 it has been periodically investigated by the FBI and US Department of Justice. The following archive presents a chronology of publicly released documents with links to other sections of the Israel Lobby Archive, shedding light on the origins and activities of AIPAC." You will note that COL Franklin has never served any prison time for the offense for which he was convicted and the DOJ has never actually taken either Steven Rosen and Keith Weissman to court for trial in the nearly a decade since the alleged offense occurred.

In nearly a quarter century no lobby has been subject to periodic re-investigation more than AIPAC. It comes up clean (no violations) every time.

Investigations are not the sole criteria for the integrity of a Political Action Committee (PAC). If it were so, both the RNC and the DNC would be out of business. Political parties, when in power, often target the opposition to reduce their influence. AIPAC is not exception. In the recent letter to the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights criticizing its bias towards Israel, there were 106 signatures. In contrast, there are at least 138 Congressmen which voted against Israel at-least once, the following 60 have voted against the Jewish State the most; between 2 and 5 times on the above mentioned issues.

Yes, it is quite obvious who is for supporting Israel and who is against. But I'm not sure that the Members of Congress in support of Israel are rightly called "Zionists" (a nationalist movement of Jews and Jewish culture that supports the creation of a Jewish homeland in the territory defined as the Land of Israel). The Zionist Movement (which is a nationalist movement) was understood and accepted by both the Arab and the Jews to a point in time --- as least as early as 1919 in the Agreement between HRH the Emir Faisal and Chairman Weizmann. They said in part: "mindful of the racial kindship and ancient bonds existing between the Arabs and the Jewish people, and realising that the surest means of working out the consummation of their national aspirations, is through the closest possible, collaboration in the development of the Arab State and Palestine."

Members of Congress are not supporting Jewish National Aspirations, their is already a Jewish State (Israel); just as agreed upon by the Emir and Chairman. What the Congress is supporting is the protection and preservation of the established state against Arab aggression, and Israels right to self defense.

Oh BTW, even The United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (Navi Pillay) agrees in her letter to Congress that Israel does indeed have the right of self defense against indiscriminate fire from HAMAS.

It mandates American economic largess to Israel via high technology, agriculture, medicine, health, pharmaceutical, and energy transfers. It demands funding for Israel Aerospace Industries (a corporation only recently linked to Israeli espionage activities against the U.S.) missile-defense programs and air-refueling tankers and munitions Israel could use to unilaterally set off a wider war with Iran. Israel even won a detour of used weapons from U.S. forces departing Iraq. The aid law extends already generous loan guarantees to Israel.

However, the package also requires the U.S. president to issue to the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations and House Committee on Foreign Affairs a report on the status of Israel’s “qualitative military edge” by Jan. 23, 2013. It is finally time for some hard truths. An honest presidential response to this AIPAC-mandated reporting rider would wipe clean all current and future U.S.-taxpayer-funded obligations to Israel. A truthful presidential assessment would finally tell the American people the following: “Israel has deployed a clandestine nuclear arsenal with some components and materials stolen from the United States. Our foreign aid laws therefore make Israel ineligible for further taxpayer dollars.”

Such a truthful declaration would turn the tables on AIPAC and its small group of donors now pushing Americans to steal from themselves by systematically violating the Symington and Glenn amendments to U.S. foreign aid laws. Ending aid would disentangle unwitting Americans from Israel’s unending conflicts, illegal settlements, systematized abuse of Palestinians, and clandestine nuclear proliferation in the Middle East.
