Ahhh, the blame game.
The U.S. and Europe divvied up the Middle East into separate nations after the First World War. So, there is some validity to the blame, but not all. The Quran has instructed its followers to wage war on all non-believers and Islamic armies invaded Europe before the First Crusade, with the intention of creating a world-wide Caliphate. The bottom line is, if you're looking to blame, simply point at the world's religions (spread the word and convert).
