YOU LIE! Marjorie Taylor Greene Calls Out Biden At SOTU For Claiming GOP Wants To ‘Sunset’ Social Security And Medicare

Beijing’s goal is to become a broad-based, fully capable space power. Its rapidly growing space program—second only to the United States in the number of operational satellites—is a source of national pride and part of Chairman Xi Jinping’s “China Dream” to establish a powerful and prosperous China. The space program, managed by the PLA, supports both civilian and military interests, including strengthening its science and technology sector, growing international relationships, and modernizing the military. China seeks to rapidly achieve these goals through advances in the research and development of space systems and space-related technology.

What kind of fag names a boy “Robinette”?
It's the French diminutive of Robert.

Joseph R Biden is Junior, he was named after his father, senior.

Hunter's first name is Robert, reflecting a version of Robinette middle names for father, and grandfather.

MTG and her ilk call her opponents Satanists and pedophiles.

So save your pearl clutching and fauxrage for someone else.

MTG is a bloodless clit.

You‘re too low of a caliber for me to even engage. Find someone on your own level.

Still sounds faggy. Robinette is no name for a man. It’s not Joe’s fault, for once, though.

Enjoy your bridges other infrastructure improvements. Enjoy that this admin has added far less to the Fed Debt in two years than Donny on average of any two year period. Be glad about control of the price of insulin, that cheap drug to keep diabetics alive, that suddenly went through the roof (in this country). Be glad the Joe sounded the alarm, Russia was getting ready to invade, weeks before even Ukraine took it seriously and then roused NATO, and the world, and took steps to supply them the means of defending themselves. Then do like me and bitch about his shitty southern border policy.
I've seen better and definitely seen worse, to tell the truth, I'm not doing too bad under Joe, personally. If you are doing bad, change jobs or go get one, as job creation is up, same as employment. Of course, that is compared to the last two years of the last administration.
Cheer up. It could be worse. We almost lost the right to elect presidents. It's not like you gotta vote for him. Besides, I've lived through a hell of lot worse, as I was in the work force in 70s and early 80s with higher gas prices, higher inflation, and trying to start a family. Use some perspective.
The average American is paying about $7,500 more out of pocket last year because of the inflation brought on by Biden's policies and your reaction is to tell them to get another job and to "Cheer up"?
Does the expression "Let them eat cake!" ring a bell with you, White? Do you think that people that are already having to work two jobs just to pay their rent, put gas in their vehicle and groceries on the table are going to look at how great YOU'RE doing and start looking around for a third job?

Social Security is unsustainable the way it's currently set up.
I agree.
For this year the cap on withholding is $160,200.
The cap should be 3 or 4 times that amount.
That's not even controversial and pretending it can go forever like this is Monty Pythonesque, "It's just a flesh wound". So, there will be those who want to get rid of it altogether, but they will not prevail, and pretending they represent the entire GOP is no more credible than pretending Bernie Sanders views represent the entire democrat party just because he votes with them.
That's what Biden said, but a LOT of them do and have been advocating for it, for decades, including privatizing SS and medicare.

This sounds quite responsible to me.
It would.
Only in Democrat La-La land should we keep paying out for a program careening toward insolvency without giving a concern to changes that need to be made to avoid that outcome.
So, the republican plan for "fixing" SS, is to sunset it every 5 years?
All the republican proposals, raise the retirement age or cutting benefits, doesn't do squat.
If the issue was republican's pensions, they would have not proposed, such a repair.
All he said was that every five years, we should review where SS stands and make adjustments to keep it gong.
Review a broken system every 5 years?

Yep. There are moving parts that can be tweaked, and that's where you start. Right there.

The GQP politicians, though, know that their base is consumed by this shallow, ignorant, pseudo/ersatz wannabe libertarianism, and have to keep playing this stupid game.

I've been seeing stories about how Biden supposedly suckered the GQP into exposing itself for what it is, and that may or may not be true.

This was inevitable, given the trajectory of the party, the way it has sold its soul and the clowns it's electing, so it was going to happen. And it's far from over.

The average world citizen is paying even more.
What exactly was Biden's policy of raising prices?

November 30 2022
Corporate profits in the nonfinancial sector hit a record high of $2.08 trillion in the third quarter even as 40-year-high inflation continues to squeeze American consumers.

Profits adjusted for inventories and capital consumption rose $6.1 billion from the second to third fiscal quarters.
Following a two-quarter dip in 2020, quarterly profits have surged by more than 80 percent over the last two years, from around $1.2 trillion to more than $2 trillion.

Companies in a wide variety of business sectors openly express this confidence on earnings calls with investors.

Darn, that sounds like a corporate plan, not a Biden plan.

She pulled a Joe Wilson like when he shouted out to Obama (usurper) "You Lie!" during his SOTU. The current usurper gladly deserved to be called a liar for saying Republicans want to sunset social security and medicare.

Why not take the ban off SS and Medicare.

shes wacky. He didn't lie!

Haven't several ranking GOP members campaigned on the promise to cut social security and medicare?
Not that im aware of. Also, even if they did, they dont speak for the house GOP. It simply isnt going to happen.

Probably why Biden emphasized that it was not a majority of republicans, or either a significant number. But he got the GOP to agree, on broadcast tv, that social security and medicare are off the table.

I'm amused that you think a concern about the solvency of Social Security equates to a desire to get rid of it, Smokin'! Rick Scott isn't trying to get rid of SS...he's trying to make sure it's still here for future generations.
Really?
How?
Scott never says.

At the center of the current debate over the federal entitlement programs is an 11-point plan released by Sen. Rick Scott (R-Fla.) last February, which called for all federal legislation to sunset after five years as part of an effort to curb government spending.

“All federal legislation sunsets in 5 years. If a law is worth keeping, Congress can pass it again,” the document said.

This would require Congress to renew Social Security and Medicare every five years. Scott’s proposal also called for a yearly report from Congress “telling the public what they plan to do when Social Security and Medicare go bankrupt.”

No plan, to prevent SS FROM going bankrupt.
Just a report for a plan, for when SS DOES go bankrupt.

Medicare is 1.45% for the employer and 1.45% for the employee, or 2.9% total.

why ,do the more you make, you get .9% of medicare, why isn't it 1.45% for the employee or total 2.9% total?
  • Single: $200,000
  • Married filing jointly: $250,000
  • Married filing separately: $125,000

What is this SS cap.2022=147,000
2023=160,200
Why is there a cap on SS?

Sunset doesn't mean "cut", it means reauthorize. Dumbass.
Medicare will be bankrupt next year. So what are dems doing about it?
SS will be insolvent in 2034, what are dems doing about it? NOTHING BUT WHINE.
It sure does. The caps on it.
