If they can create "hate speech" or "sexist speech" or whatever other
kick they're on, they believe that once they've shut you up, you will
be afraid to speak your real thoughts for fear of being branded.

If that we’re even remotely true - the government would label them as such and then shut down their sites. There’s a reason that hasn’t happened. You don’t get to label someone a “terrorist” because you disagree with their views.

1. First on a local individual level, the liberals I know are afraid of Christians and Conservatives pushing their beliefs and agenda in bigger more powerful groups to the EXCLUSION of anyone else who disasgrees. Historically the systemic abuse rejection and harassment of either atheists or gays etc. has led to this backlash against Christians as a group.
2. Secondly these liberals tend NOT to have or use church support to exercise or represent themselves, so they end up relying on political party or govt to serve as their collective voice and authority over resources and policies as a group identity.
3. Third, the media does not respond to solutions that unite people
but tends to focus on what incites fights and reactions.

So in order for advocates on the left to defend their beliefs against opposition or fear of oppression
by bigger more concentrated groups of Christians and conservatives,
of course, the tactic is to focus on anything NEGATIVE that can attract public and media attention
and exploit THAT to push one's agenda.

Again, conservatives who invoke either Constitutional laws and authority directly and don't depend on govt or party or Christian laws directly using the Bible,
don't need to pull the same stunts to carry weight of collective authority using these laws.

The liberals use political power through party and media to have the same imipact.

So that's why these things get targeted exploited and abused in the media
to serve as a substitute for spiritual authority by unity on laws as church and state
are supposed to be governed. The Conservatives tend to respect this process
and invoke this authority.

The liberals don't teach how to invoke authority of law directly
where people become the govt, so they rely on parties electing
reps into govt in order to rely on party and media to organize and represent
their collective interests.

To undo this unhealthy dependence on party and govt,
we'd have to start rewarding individuals for implementing their
own solutions. And quit rewarding bullies in the media and parties
with attention and support for using negative campaigns to divide and conquer.

We need to start encouraging and rewarding
solutions and people for investing directly to build it ourselves, instead
of relying on parties to push this through govt.

When we remove any incentive for playing bullying
fear based games and tactics, we can focus on
real working solutions. Not exploiting problems for
political points and public media attention.

with ALL these groups:
Lawyers
Govt Officials
Unions
when people with COLLECTIVE influence and authority
don't respect Constitutional principles based on individual rights and protections.

The solution is to hold ALL these groups
including corporations and political parties
to respect the same due process and protections
of individual rights in the Bill of Rights as we
are supposed to hold Govt officials and entities to follow.

The problem with corruption is when COLLECTIVE
resources or power is abused to oppress the
individual with less or unequal ability to defend
individual rights and interests.

So what makes lawyers/judges so dangerous as a monopoly
on the legal system, or unions, is when they abuse power
to obstruct due process and equal protections of the law.

The SAME problem as when govt abuses collective authority
and resources to oppress minority voices that are supposed to be represented.

What conservatives are supposed to be defending
is limiting govt to Constitutional duties and process,
so that govt CANNOT BE ABUSED in the first place.

then you don't have lawyers and unions exploiting
the problems for their own benefit either! Nor Political Parties
and Media ....
