You get what you pay for

I’m tired of flag waving scumbags who call themselves patriots who lack a thread of human decency.
And I’m tired of “humanity” waving snowflakes who can’t walk the walk.

If covering healthcare is the “humanitarian” thing to do, why doesn’t your selfish ass cover a healthcare policy for 10 families in your community?!? Oops.

LOL....No,we have a medical savings plan that covered our deductible.
See thats called planning, something you seem totally unfamiliar with.

That's not what you said, buddy. You said Insurance paid most of the bills. Try to keep your story straight.

I have an HSA as well as my regular insurance. I also realize that something major like cancer would completely wipe out all my savings.

Ignorant left-wing propaganda. Life expectancy in the U.S. has nothing to do with healthcare and everything to do with lifestyle. And everybody knows it, so I have no idea why you try pushing your bullshit.

For instance, because you people on the left can't raise children with ethics or morals or God, we have a whole nation of left-wing thugs involved in gang violence. Shooting 16 year olds to death lowers life expectancy. But it has nothing to do with healthcare. It has to do with assholes such as yourself that have serious character issues.

Uh, guy, the main reason why those socialized medicine companies don't have a major problem with 16 year olds shooting each other is because they have common sense gun laws. Are you arguing that we should impose those? Of course you aren't.

While our gun violence rates are abhorrent, they aren't enough to really move the life exectancy numbers. We have 12,000 gun deaths a year out of 3 million deaths from all causes...

Oh, as far as "ethics and God", the fact is, the US is more religious than any other country. Most of the Progressive European Social Democracies look at you like your silly if you start talking about imaginary sky fairies.

We also eat tons of fast food, sugar, etc. Again, nothing to do with our healthcare industry and everything to do with our choices (and...to some extent...our prosperity).

That argument MIGHT work for why the Japanese live longer, but the Europeans eat the same crap we do or worse.

Well, we kind of do, Poodle. If we are paying into Medicare and our insurance and don't get sick that year, we are paying for other people's healthcare. You see, as much as you whine about "socialism", even private insurance is a form of collectivism.

The only difference is, we think the government can run it better than a big greedy insurance company that is looking to pay nine-figure salaries to their executives.

You idiot.

Tell you what. When all insurance companies start covering people’s medical bills at no charge, I’ll do the same.

63% of bankruptcies are linked to medical crisis.
That’s because 63% of people are imbeciles who don’t plan and save. People like you, who think you’re entitled to party with your money and then force tax payers to pay for your basic needs.
Blah, blah, blah, 5 times the cost and the worst out comes in the world. Awesome return on investment. Your a dumb fuck!

And they did.
The deductible was covered with our medical savings account.

You idiot...an insurance company is a business. It exists for the sole purpose of making money.

You’re ignorant ass barks about “humanity”. So I’ll ask again - why doesn’t your selfish, greedy ass cover 10 families with healthcare policies?

Answer the question.

Actually, I answered the question for you. You’re too selfish and greedy to actually help someone else for once in your miserable life.
Controlling other people with the power of government doesn’t prove you care.

If you want to help the poor, clean the environment, improve the arts. Great! Please do.

But if you are compassionate, then you’ll spend your own money on your vision. You will volunteer your work and encourage others to volunteer theirs, by charity or commerce. You don’t force others to do what you think is best.
I’d tell you to try giving but it’s already clear you’re too selfish and greedy to cover healthcare for someone else in your community.

Give, Don't Govern

No snowflake, you really don’t. If you’re not covering the premiums for the policy of someone that can’t afford healthcare, then you’re not doing shit. And trying to convince yourself that you are is just pitiful. You sound like a rapist trying to convince himself that he showed his victim a “good time”.

That's the problem. It should be about making people better, not making money.

Again, we are all paying into the system... it's just being stolen by big insurance, big pharma and big health care.

Only people getting raped are the ones paying into insurance and getting cheated.

Here's the thing. Because hospitals end up treating anyone who walks into an emergency room, they have to charge the paying customers more to cover that. Yes, I know, that $100 Tylanol I got after my surgery really didn't cost $100.00. It was covering the poor person who showed up at the emergency room for a cold that could have been treated at a local clinic.

So single payer. We spend less money, everyone covered, everyone gets the same level of health care that we all agree if fair.. If you have to share a hospital room with a poor person, get over it.

There is a reason U.S. is the best in the world.

American Health Care Costs a Lot, but Delivers Results

Of course. Anyone who isn't blind, partisan, or willfully stupid, knows that US has the best care in the world. People come to the US for care constantly.

People leave the US for care in medical tourism, to get a cheaper deal. They do it to save money.

People come to the US for care, because otherwise they'd die in their home countries.

Again, the problem here isn't quality- our quality is on par with other industrialized nations.

It's ACCESS.

Yes, it's totally awesome some third world Despot can fly to the US for treatment he can't get in his own country. But if Americans can't access this kind of care because their insurance won't cover it or they don't have insurance, than we don't really have the best system.

We have the worst.

American Health Care Costs a Lot, but Delivers Results

Best in the world for who? the upper middle class and rich?

For years I had to put up with no health insurance or crappy insurance that didn't cover hardly anything. I avoided going to the doctor and dentist no matter how sick I got or how many cavities I had, I would go broke if I did. Instead of fixing my teeth I just had them pulled or just lived with broken teeth because I couldn't afford pricey dental care. Rather than get treated for illnesses and bronchitis I tried my best to suffer and just sit it out, because seeing the doctor would just bankrupt me.

My wife gets deathly sick without Iron shots, her body doesn't absorb iron. A lot of times before she met me she would just skip going to the doctor till the point she had to be hospitalized, the hospital just wrote off the medical bill because she was close to broke living off a fast food workers wages living out of a broken down 20 yr old car.

The past few years when I drove a truck were better years with better health insurance and this past year I landed a job in Social Services that is paying me about 48k a year with decent benefits. I get HMO medical, dental, and vision for both me and my wife that I pay for. My wife's place of employment only paid her 10k last year working fast food with no benefits. Even though I am making more money now, it is not enough to cover all the healthcare costs my wife and I have had to go through this past year since we both have expensive medical conditions and illnesses we had to pay for this past year, without insurance we would of been bankrupt.

Socialized medicine, even though some say the quality would not be as good, would at least be more affordable and available for more Americans.
