American patients first: Trump orders drugmakers to match lowest global prices

That was solidified when Obama bailed all those floundering corporations out. They are now permanently indebted to the government. In a sense the government now owns them and they own the government. Almost like they're conjoined twins.
We went through this same thing with religion. It took us hundreds of years to figure out that combining the power of the Church with the power of the state was a REALLY BAD IDEA. Theocracy simply put too much power in too few hands.

Now there's a movement to merge economic power with the power of the state. And it comes from both the government and the business sector. Leaders from both realize that they can radically increase their power by joining forces.

Hereditary ownership contradicts and crashes Capitalism. Nepos and their knee-huggers collapse the economy from the top down.

HeirHeads are pre-positioned halfway to the finish line. "Even playing field" is impossible under unearned birth privileges and class-climbing no-talent yes-men.
And the broken record plays on...

Nah. Pretty much any time someone bloviates about a "level playing field" they're talking about government intervention in the market. You can still call that "capitalism", if you want. But it's not a free market. Wage and price controls have always been considered transitional policies - inroads - toward socialism.
And what is charging America 10x Plus what they charge other countries called?

Parents are supposed to kick their kids out at 18 years old and not help them? What are parents supposed to do with their money then, give it to their Government?

Everybody since America has been created and before that since the caveman days work to provide their children better lives than they themselves had. Parents are supposed to be deprived of that ideal just because they're rich?

It's about time.

On Monday, President Trump signed an executive order aimed at slashing prescription drug prices by requiring pharmaceutical companies to offer Americans the lowest prices they charge anywhere in the world.

Key Details:

The executive order instructs the Secretary of Health and Human Services to allow Americans to purchase drugs directly from manufacturers at "Most-Favored-Nation" prices, bypassing costly middlemen.

If pharmaceutical companies refuse, the order directs HHS to impose rules mandating most-favored-nation pricing and to use "other aggressive measures" to end anticompetitive practices.
Is it that America is happy first, or that the rest of the world is unhappy first? What a policy! lol. :)

👉 Here is a list of third-world or developing countries that could be affected by shifts in global drug pricing due to policies like Trump’s 2025 US drug-pricing plan. These countries are identified from multiple sources listing developing countries as of 2025 134579. Many are classified as low- or middle-income economies by the World Bank and other international bodies.

Because pharmaceutical companies may raise drug prices or restrict access in these markets to offset lower US prices, populations in these countries could face higher healthcare costs or reduced availability of new medicines under the US drug-pricing plan.

Those places and people were unhappy, poor and stupid 2,000 years ago. And they'll be unhappy, poor and stupid 2,000 years from now.

Let Darwin work it out.

Countries that should not be subsidized by Americans. Our Ancestors did not work hard and sometimes die so we can just give away our tax payer's dollars to non-tax payers.

Who is we?
US health care consumers.

The reason health care, and drug, prices are so stupidly high is that there are no rational market dynamics. Via ill-conceived regulation and short sighted tax policy, we've pushed health care consumers into two types: those who have insurance, and don't care what their health care costs because they're not paying for it directly, and those who don't have health insurance and can only hope to get health care through some kind of charity or state welfare -- and don't care what their health care costs because they're not paying for it directlty.

So, virtually all health care consumers don't care what their health care costs because no one is paying for it directly. Of course prices are going through the roof. Why not?

Socialite Socialists

Communism is when the government owns all the businesses. Capitalism is when the businessmen all own the government. Same difference.

Plus, it should be no secret that Leftists are the sons of rich Rightists.

The Way to Perdition Is Patrician

The sacred cow of hereditary power is behind both institutions. So they can't be blamed, as one or the other usually is. Therefore, the institutions are scapegoats.
