Laboratory testing on chimpanzees, humans' closest living relative, and other great apes was effectively banned in the United Kingdom in 1997, followed by New Zealand, the Netherlands, Japan, Germany and others.

Lab monkeys that don't go on to get their PhD usually end up in top-flight jobs in the housekeeping and food service industries.

" Mr Spielberg, apparently the chimp just killed 2 of the co-stars."
