In an FBI interview, Bobulinksi said that in 2015-16 Hunter and Hunter’s uncle James did business with CEFC, a Chinese company with close ties to the Chinese government. But because Biden was still vice president, Hunter and James weren’t paid right away. “There was a concern it would be improper,” Bobulinksi said, because of the company’s affiliation with the Chinese Communist Party.

Byron Donalds of Florida showed organizational charts of Hunter Biden’s businesses created by the IRS team investigating the president’s son, including from 2014, when Joe Biden was vice president, and 2018, when he was a private citizen. The charts show a dizzying array of interrelated companies — none of which involved real estate or any other industry where you would typically see this kind of complex matrix of different business entities and shell companies. Donalds then shared a text message between Hunter and James Biden in which Hunter, discussing a business deal, tells his uncle, “You’ve been drawn into something purely for the purpose of protecting Dad.”

This is just a sample, but you get the idea. Hunter was engaged in a patently corrupt scheme that involved selling access to his father, one of the most powerful politicians on the planet.

Actually, you see these kind of complex organizational charts in any international investment because of the high risks of investing in countries which are not politically stable.

I was working for an international investment lawyer in the early 90s right after the fall of communism in Europe, and everybody was trying to do business or establish business relationships in former Soviet union countries.

At the same time is international investment offers tremendous opportunities, there are also tremendous risks to your homegrown investments, so those doing business overseas will take every step possible to insulate and isolate their overseas investments, so that any overseas failures, don’t impact negatively impact their investment base.

Every investor had a holding company for their overseas investments. If there was more than one overseas investment, or you were investing in more than one country, there would be a separate holding company for subsequent investments, and a separate holding company for each country you’re doing business in.

This is also done for tax reasons as income is taxable in both the originating country and the USA. It’s easier to do your taxes at the end of the year if everything is segregated into separate parts from different countries.

Last, but not least the notion that only real estate companies would have so many holding companies and such a complex corporate structure is utter bullshit.

Anyone who has more than one business has more than one holding company, regardless of what field of business they’rein. If one business fails, you don’t want them all, going out of business, or taking down the rest of them. Ditto partners. If you have partners you don’t want their financial problems becoming your financial problems. Do you want them to have their own holding companies to protect your investments?
