Is this an all or nothing question? It depends. Do we need scientists working on the bird flu? Do we need scientists watching over our nuclear stockpile for safety issues. Do we need government watchdogs to investigate fraud and abuse within the government? Why does the DOD not need cuts, why does our defense budget at nearly 900 billion not need cuts? Does none of this count as lowering the cost of Gubmint?

Did you say that when veterans working in civilian jobs were put out of work because of government policy?30% of the federal workforce is made up of veterans.
Are you saying we should just throw our veterans out on the bread lines?
Only in your dreamsOff topic
we have done it before
After the fall of the Soviet Union the federal government under Bill Clinton downsized the uniformed military
Soldiers were thrown out of the military without the generous severance pay that the federal workers are being offered
There were those too, but also involuntary separation till the necessary reduction was reachedActually I was in the Navy during the Clinton years, there were incentives, bonuses, and early retirement options made available to active duty folks.
I actually considered taking one of the early retirement options but decided to stay for the full 20.
Sorry you are you stating misinformation again. Soldiers, Sailors, Marines, and Airmen were did not walk in one morning and told to clean out their lockers like is happening now with immediate firings via email.

You haven't a clue and you have zero insight into the inner workings, strengths and deficiencies of the VA.You have no idea who’s being fired and feel the need to spew nonsense anyway
My entire family except my wife is on VA. There are many exceptions. You're the exception.
You said "just" but you should have said "except.:Just a different decade and a different president
The only civilians are those who volunteer their time at the VA.You'd be surprised to hear that number of veterans in the VA’s workforce is only about 25%. I go there every year for a checkup and the majority of those I talk to are civilians.
Trump administration plans to cut 80,000 employees from Veterans Affairs, according to internal memo
Federal service includes the military..Bub.Thats what entitled GSers have always done since the French Revolution
Because of the nature of the bureaucratic beast, federal service will always be a wart on a free and rational society
The only remedy is to have as little as possible
I support the military but I dont worship itFederal service includes the military..Bub.
Do they constitute 30% of those probationary employees that were fired? Probably nowhere near.30% of the federal workforce is made up of veterans.
Are you saying we should just throw our veterans out on the bread lines?
I took the VSI/SSB in 1994. I walked off my ship with a check for $50,000 dollars that sustained me through two years of unemployment followed by underemployment. I had a job offer while in the Navy, but Clinton's minions cut that contract, so I was SOL.Actually I was in the Navy during the Clinton years, there were incentives, bonuses, and early retirement options made available to active duty folks.

Those involuntarily separated were compensated. Have a nice day! There were those too, but also involuntary separation till the necessary reduction was reached
Call it a Dear John letter from the Commander in Chief
I dont think they got as much money as the GS workers are gettingThose involuntarily separated were compensated. Have a nice day!
Michelle Obama is pretty tall. Quick search Yeah, she's 5'11. What in the **** are you talking about, short bus?Is this an all or nothing question?
Michelle Obama (no relation to the ex-first lady) is 5’6” and weighs 280 lbs
Repub doctors want her to lose weight to prevent a long list of medical problems
But democrat social justice warriors prefer that she continue her 5,000 calorie per day “diet” till she drops dead
Like the man said, with friends like lefties who needs enemies?
