Yeah, conservatives are probably right. We don't need an infrastructure bill...

The Federal Infrastructure Bill provides funding to state and local agencies to repair their aged infrastructure
And the 2 infrastructure bills passed under GWB and Obama didn’t address these things?

Also Congress doesn’t need the President’s help to pass bills.

That bridge collapsed under which president? So its republicans fault that a bridge collapsed a year into Bidens presidency? Are you really that stupid or you just fucking with us?

Biden passed a bill to repair unsafe bridges
Republicans voted against that bill

Todays tragedy shows how important that bill is

Why we needed an infrastructure bill

Local communities have neglected their bridges for generations.
Let Republican Representatives who voted against Infrastructure investment explain why they don’t care about public safety
Sorry, that is the city's responsibility. As far as voting for the bill or not, can you prove with 100% certainty that this bridge would have been fixed before it collapsed had the funding passed?

What happened to all that infrastructure money from 2009? Did Shoeshine Boy give it to cronies instead?
It went for shovel ready projects, police, teachers, firemen, tax cuts

Are you fucking serious?
Do you live in a cave?

The Infrastructure bill is public record

You said Biden passed a bill. If Biden passed a bill, then it's law.

If it failed to get enough votes to pass, then it's not law and it didn't pass anything. Pelosi might have forced a bill for vote that she knew didn't have the votes to pass.

Considering liberals have control of all 3 houses of congress, you've got nobody but yourself to blame.

Sure would have

The bridge had been identified as a hazard in 2018. It would have been eligible for federal funding.

Republicans in Pennsylvania voted against that funding
wait what? this wasn’t fixed by obama shovel ready jobs bill that xiden ran? where did that trillion dollars go?

That's a state problem. PA is fucked up. They spend more operating the tollbooths on the Turnpike than they get in tolls, and it is perpetually under construction.

There was a time when I was a nine to fiver (more like a 4am to 7pmer) that I built/installed a lot of the high-tech command centers along PA roadways.

There's a lot of truth to what you say here. They were just as high-tech as a lot of the military facilty stuff I did.

That's really where all of that money goes. Toward more government growth.

Do you understand what “Shovel Ready” means?

A bridge with severe structural damage is not a shovel ready project. It needs an engineering evaluation, architectural plans and renovations that will take years

A shovel ready repair would be to repave or repaint a bridge and is done in a few weeks
