You would think some of those broke-dick countries would auction them off to the highest bidder.....Hard to tell what a turn-key M-3 would bring these days.

That is the Type 59 tank. A Chinese made copy of the T-54, which itself is just a 1946 upgrade of the T-34. They would not have stood a chance against the Soviets-Russians or US, but against their own population they were more than enough.

No, the T-54 isa an upgrade of the T-44 a completely different tank than the T-34. The only things they had in common were the gun and turret
