Sandy Hook: Some Thoughts

Doubtful.

But even if they had, that award is simply outrageous.
Well what would you compensate people who, if I'm not mistaken, were forced to move, rather abruptly, from the places they'd built their lives, and start new lives because of some bogus claims made by a radio show host? I appreciate that Jones is an outspoken critic of the government, but there must also be accountability for the media.

Alex has always been a CIA asset so you get a good amount of truth from him but interspersed with calculated misinformation to confuse and entrain the Sheeple .
In this Sandy Hook False Flag the CIA and other services had done a worse job than usual and they needed a way to shut down the incident .
Enter Alex .The nominal sacrifice but doubtless a very well paid one .

Naturally his trial was another CIA Show event but he will never spend a day inside or pay a dollar of his own money as damages .
Now the CIA believe that they have shut up Whistleblowers of other past events , and , more important probably , shut up whistleblowers of future Faked incidents .
They will believe that like Alex they will be ruined in every aspect of their life forever .
A standard Operation Fear project. Either that or Defenestrate

Deniers and those living within Cognitive Rigidity will continue to believe the establishment narrative and you cannot expect Sheeple to ask questions or think outside of what is now regarded as a consensus narradign.
Only Time will slowly reveal the Truth -- see Kennedy and 9/11 as the best and biggest examples .

Wait. You’re one of the goobers who thinks that anybody was “forced to move” because of anything said on his show?

🤣😂🤣

Well, that's what I heard. If you heard otherwise I'll hear it.

I doubt his account. You choose to accept it.

So, playing along, why would that justify the absurdly high award of ($) damages?

I don’t commend Jones. I don’t even like the guy. But if we stipulate that his rantings were incorrect and made with some desire to deceive others, and that they suffered some pain because of it, that still doesn’t justify the damages awarded.

Because, assuming the account is true, then the guy had to sell basically all his shit, leave his neighbors, friends, etc. behind, because of a lie. While $75,000,000 is steep, I think a sum in the tens of millions makes sense.

Nah. Repayment for any such expenses plus payment of attorney’s fees and even a kick in the nuts penalty like $3- or $4-million as “punitive” damages would be justifiable.

The damages awarded should be reduced accordingly.

The guy claims he basically had to start a new life. How can you put a dollar value on something like that?

I don’t care what the guy “claimed.” I don’t buy that shit.

Was he hurt? Probably. But that simply does not require essentially winning a lottery drawing.

Well, apparently a jury or judge thought his claims were credible.

Maybe. Maybe not. The trier of fact could conclude that Jones did cause some harm. But that doesn’t mean everything that plaintiffs alleged were accepted.

In any event, even if that was found credible, it still doesn’t justify the absurd amount of the awarded “damages.”

Well...ultimately it's subjective.

I dunno if he's tried to appeal the ruling or not.
Setting aside the damage award as excessive wouldn’t require any appeal. The presiding judge at the trial should simply act.

I also don’t know the appellate posture of the case. But I don’t much care. The trial judge should have done it.
