I drove a Corbin Sparrow when they were producing them in Hollister, CA. They were being marketed as a 3-wheeled motorcycle with a body. They were butt ugly and heavy. I drove it alongside their warehouse and I have to give it credit for take-off, not so much for stopping. LOL, I didn't think it would ever stop. That is the only EV beyond a Prius (hybrid) that I have ever driven--it was enough.

Think about it. Most people would be thrilled/lucky to have just ONE of his cars, yet Jay has whole buildings full of them, BIG buildings, row after row. Some of them worth a million dollars. Then there is the cost of the buildings. Add to that the cost of the mechanics who take care of them, fix them up, keep them all washed, ready and running.

I know Jay ain't doing all of it. And he is getting old. Where does all that money come from. What has Jay done before, during or since the Tonight Show to afford that? Tell jokes?

And remember, that is just his car collection, he needs a home to live, maybe a few. And he is affording all of that out in California. Makes you wonder. I mean, the guy isn't exactly a genius with a PhD neither.

Einstein and Tesla pretty much invented and made possible the 20th century--- and died broke.

If I was back stuck in that CA commute (3-4 hours per day) maybe 80 miles per day Stop & Go, maybe it would cost out in my favor?

But if it cost 2X a gas burner? Takes a lot of years to make back even $10,000 at $50 per month utility vs. gas savings. It would have to save a lot more than that to make sense.

Hauling capacity would be less of a problem for Texans. Most of us who have pickups rarely haul anything in them. I hauled quarter yards of dirt in my Dodge Ram, and less than ten times over the course of several years. Other than that nothing challenging.

But if they want to sell that truck to pickup owners, they need to make it look like traditional pickups.
