A very scary article. Why are we spending more on weapons than the rest of the planet combined? Are our leaders suspecting a mega-battle between us and every other nation on the planet? Nah, nothing that dramatic. It's just the continuing saga of the military-industrial complex and their saga of continually juicing Americans hard earned dollars. It's simply exascerbated after 9-11. Now they(Pentagon and Lobbyists) can convince the congress to pass any kind of spending related to defense. Even if much of said spending has not to do with the war against Al Qaeda and their ilk.
