Without tariffs…how do we bring back jobs and groom Americans to buy American made again?

...the exact affect that tariffs are suppose to have by design. They are supposed to drive consumers to buy American made goods…American manufactures are suppose to recognize the increase in demand and in response they increase supply…
Americans like to eat bananas, drink coffee, and eat chocolate. Those goods don't come from the U.S., they're imported.

Imports and exports make us better off. You say that imports kill American jobs but reality is that the median household income in the U.S. is $74k/year while the world average is just $11k/year.

American jobs are terrific for earning a living and imports give us lives worth living.

Tariffs are a blunt instrument.

They work for specific industries for specific reasons

Putting tariffs on products we don’t and can’t make on anything like the scale that matters does nothing but increase their cost
Wow less, first time we agree.

Bring back, and save quality. American made is quality. Less cars since late 70s anyway. Unions, politicians and woke ruined them.

You just demonstrated the exact affect that tariffs are suppose to have by design. They are supposed to drive consumers to buy American made goods…American manufactures are suppose to recognize the increase in demand and in response they increase supply…

How long will it take for American manufactures increase their supply and how much will things cost in the mean time?

They will have to expand their current facilities, they will have to hire and train new people.

And in the end the American made good will cost more and often be lower quality.

They already have jobs. You’re going to need to find jobs to fill their jobs after Trump deports them all and then more people to fill the factories that are magically going to appear.

Where are all these people now?
On welfare.

And what is the alternative? For America to become a country of day care workers and food servers?

How did we manage for decades?
All nations import what they aren’t capable of making or growing. This really isn’t a complex issue.

The US dominance on the world is coming to an end....mostly because of the 35T in debt we have.

But it is ok, almost every empire that has fallen still exist in the form of a country and are doing just fine
Hmmmm….weird huh?
Our slide down the shitter happens to coincide with a massive swing in demography…We aren’t the same Americans, therefore we aren’t the same America.
Have your balls dropped, are you starting to allow yourself to connect the dots?
OR
Is the timing of it all just a CRAZY ******* coincidence?

America peaked after WWII, by the 60s it was already heading down. It has little to do with the brown people are you are afraid of.

As fossil fuels become depleted, global transport costs rise and wipe out labor savings from anywhere.

If we can't make it here, then we don't need it and probably won't have it.

The world was a different place, as technology improves the world becomes a smaller place.

You can go hide on your compound in MT, but the world will keep changing.
Hold on…so the “world changes” is the best you got?
The world changes so we abandon our basic tenets/framework? How’d that work out for us? How’s it working out for us?
