Will Pam Bondi Prosecute Michael Byrd For Murder?

What's the Statute of Limitations on Murder??

That's what I thought.

I think Trump and Bondi want to move future political trials to Florida. I think it can happen. I think it WILL happen.

Let's see how dimocrap scum like standing trial without a Home Court Advantage.

I think they get around to prosecuting Byrd in due time but I will admit that this might be where what I want interferes with my perception of reality.

OTOH, I think OMB pardons all the J6 protesters on Day 1. For him to follow up with the prosecution of the murdering scumbag Byrd would be appropriate. IMHO, if he doesn't, he will lose a lot of support in the MAGA community. Not that he needs it but......

I also think Veterans groups want him prosecuted as well as Active Duty types. We'll see but I'd bet a beer he gets prosecuted.

What he did was murder through and through. period Just plain, old-fashioned, hateful, vindictive murder.
Can you show us how your opinion fits the definition of murder in the District of Columbia, by a law enforcement officer?

it wasn't self defense, she was unarmed, and at a distance that she was not an immediate threat
Why was she crawling through the broken door window to the congressional chamber side, where the cop was?

What do you think her purpose was? Was it to unlock the doors from that other side of the door, to let the mob in?

I never said it was self-defense, I have always stated that he fired his weapon to eliminate an imminent threat (imminent meaning "happening right now").

He fired his weapon to prevent anyone from breaching that door whose window they had broken out so that could circumvent the door in spite of it being locked.

He fired one shot, and a grand total of ZERO others attempted to breach that window thereafter.

Objective of stopping/eliminating an imminent threat - accomplished.

I don't think she can. Pulling his weapon and firing may have been a bit extreme. But there was no question that the crowd had worked themselves up into a frenzy at that point and it was hard to say what was about to happen should they make entry.
I don't like what happened but I'm not comfortable with removing an officer's right to use lethal force in situations like that.
They gave him no choice because his job at that point in time was to prevent that mob from breaching the door via the window they had broken out. Just because you break out the window in a locked door doesn't mean you now have the right to circumvent the door lock by going through the window to the other side and that's exactly what they attempted.

They were NOT successful however, thanks to Lt. Byrd.

what's the difference between Byrd and Derek Chauvin?

they both ignored their training and caused the death of someone.

why shouldn't they receive the same punishment?
The fact that you can't discern the difference between these two acts is beyond pathetic. Besides their race, obviously.

No Pam will not charge him....a grand jury would not indict him with the evidence.

She has a huge huge job to do, and this is peanut gallery fodder...

Actually, an unarmed woman was shot without just cause by a law enforcement officer.

This might be one of the more likely first matters she will have her office attend to.

There are quite a few others.

But that doesn’t mean what might qualify as a murder will be left unaddressed.

Nothing whatsoever “peanut gallery” about it.

It was NOT necessary to kill her to stop her.

would you have applauded a cop who shot indiscriminately into a crowd of protestors in Ferguson after Brown was shot? In Portland, E St Louis, Baltimore?
what would YOU know about reality?

I spent 20+ years in the military, 10+ years as a Corrections Officer.

I'm well-versed in Use of Force. far more so than the idiot, (and you), that shot Babbitt apparently
All that and you still don't understand why it was legally allowed (and advised) that Lt. Bryd fired when he did (she was leading a MOB - disparity of force)

Why don't you tell us what you think would have happened had anyone gotten through the window and unlocked the door?

It wasn't to murder those half a dozen armed police officers with her bare hands and police officers prevent suspects from doing things they don't want them to do every day without using deadly force, non-lethals and physical restraint are the most common methods, that cop tried neither of those methods, he went straight to the execution option because he lost his cool.

If a street cop did the same thing that this Capital Hill Cop did under similar circumstances, he'd be sitting in prison right now.

that makes a difference?

why?
Because it fits the definition of when deadly force is allowable for federal officer:

may use only the force that is objectively reasonable to effectively gain control of an incident, while protecting the safety of the officer and others, in keeping with the standards set forth in Graham v. Connor, 490 U.S. 386 (1989).

That one shot he fired allowed him to "gain control of the incident". No one else tried to breach that window.

Byrd was a coward and faggot. Like you.

  • Miranda Devine: So now we know that the cop who shot dead unarmed Trump supporter Ashli Babbitt, 36, during the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot was rewarded with a promotion and a $36,000 bonus.

There were no ill consequences for his rash actions that day. Instead, Capt. Michael Byrd, 56, was held up as a hero of democracy, despite the fact that he had a lengthy disciplinary record that includes leaving his loaded handgun in a public bathroom in the Capitol Visitor Center, “improperly” firing his gun at a car near his home while off-duty and abusing a Maryland cop who tried to stop him entering a high school football field as a “racist a–hole,” again while off duty, according to a letter released last week by the GOP-led House Administration’s Subcommittee on Oversight.
Tragic Ashli Babbitt and the buried Jan. 6 truth

You people need to understand this -- dimocraps are the scum of the Earth. Every.Last.One.Of.Them.

Not just the elected ones. All of them. ESPECIALLY their enablers.

period
When will this lie end?

She was armed with a mob.

Look up disparity of force, it allows deadly force even if each of the mob members is unarmed.
The disparity of force was a half a dozen unarmed police officers against 1 unarmed woman, there was no reasonable threat of imminent death or great bodily harm to the officers because "the mob" was on the other side of a locked door.

He had plenty of other options that didn't involve executing her, walking up and physically restraining her while she crawled through the window and taking the opportunity to bless the crowd with the OC spray hot sauce on his way out seems to have been a viable one.

Because he was doing the one job he is paid to do. Seems obvious. He protected the cornered Congress from a violent mob.

Already said that. A few times. Pay attention, son!
It's absolutely amazing how they can make our Congressional members vanish from the equation leaving the only "life" that needed "protecting" was that of the leader of a mob of violent aggressors.
