Did Ted Lieu claim Epstein paid Pam Bondi's college, law school tuition?

Short answer: No. Multiple fact‑checking outlets report that Ted Lieu did not claim Jeffrey Epstein paid Pam Bondi’s college or law‑school tuition.

The allegation circulating online is false and originated from unsourced social‑media posts and clickbait articles, not from anything Lieu actually said.

What the fact‑checks actually found

  • Snopes, Yahoo News, and other fact‑checkers reviewed the claim and found no evidence that Lieu ever made such an accusation.
  • The rumor appears to have come from Facebook posts and AI‑generated clickbait, not from congressional testimony, interviews, or verified statements.
  • The posts falsely asserted that Epstein funded Bondi’s education so she would “work for them,” but provided no sourcing, quotes, or documentation. Snopes labeled the claim “False.”

Congratulations.

Fact Check proves that Epstein did not pay those bills.

Yes, you are right. Lieu, whom I have never liked, is wrong.

I have never liked Senator Blumenthal being elected with his Stolen Valor identification.

Did Ted Lieu claim Epstein paid Pam Bondi's college, law school tuition?

Looks like this may be very well true, which explains bunches of why she is such a MAGAt witch.

Claim: Democratic U.S. Rep. Ted Lieu of California claimed that sex offender Jeffrey Epstein paid for Attorney General Pam Bondi's college and law school.

Rating: Back in March 2026, "social media posts claimed Democratic U.S. Rep. Ted Lieu of California accused Attorney General Pam Bondi of having a close connection to the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. According to Lieu's purported accusations, Epstein paid for Bondi's college and law school."

One post on Facebook even claimed,

"Snopes found no evidence of Lieu making such a claim, let alone of Epstein paying Bondi's educational expenses." Typical MAGAt rumorology making up AI slop. IOW. MAGAts create "low-quality content generated by artificial intelligence, often using shocking or overly inspirational information to generate clickbait."

"As such, we rate this claim false." MAGAts just have to lie.

I looked and found that the JK News Hour is a site that's based out of the Kashmir region of India. In the Snopes story, there's a link to a black woman on Facebook with a link to some off-the-wall webpage is the only link outside of the JK News Hour post on Facebook. How does either link that Snopes includes is involved with creating "MAGA rumorology"? Speaking of lying, you don't have a shred of evidence that either one of them are tied to MAGA. It's not evident looking at their other posts that they're supportive of Trump or MAGA.
