Just read an article about how, added together, his free busing/free childcare/grocery stores will cost into the BILLIONS and BILLIONS, all of which he plans to raise off the back of corporations and top earners. Their combined city/state taxes will then MATCH the federal tax.

My prediction is leaning that he just cannot do this, and will not. Thus thoroughly ticking off the people who voted for all the free stuff, and are quickly to find out they can't have it.

So I think Mamdani will tank before the millionaires even figure they have to leave......

My guess is that more will be attracted. Landowners like President Trump might be thinking about repurposing the Trump Tower to become a Fleabag style hotel or a Flop House that will be in demand for the new residents.

Some of the people that are imbedded in that city will kiss Mamu's ass and try to get concessions, like they would if anyone else was elected. But the nincompoops who voted for him and expect freebies are going to be sorely disappointed and they'll deserve it. Who knows. Presidents of the US need a ballroom to host events, which they do so on a regular basis.

President Trump was thinking about his successors, not himself in this regard.

After all, he owns a tremendous ballroom himself in Palm Beach to have events at. Future Potuses might not own such facilities, hence the need for a government owned ballroom- which BTW, is being paid for by private donors.

It's hard to see businesses/employers being attracted to NYC unless they believe they can get some kind of deal or special consideration to ripoff the taxpayers. Producers are already leaving town, and small businesses are gonna be closing shop asap. All those women that voted for Mamdani? I wonder how safe they'll be on the streets of NYC, even in daylight. And don't be expecting the cops to save you, they're leaving too.
