A total of 36 people signed up to shovel snow for $19/hour in New York City…so Mamdani raised it to $30/hr

I disagree. Mamdani is a jihadi socialist. He is going to destroy New York, and fill it with muslims, not by using bombs and planes, but by simply destroying it economically. He knows exactly what he is doing.

Yes, spring is a tough time in NY. The rats find warm places to hide in the winter, but they come out in spring.
I know a guy in NY, he has a side gig collecting bottles. He makes $250 with 4 hours work. He has a route, he goes down by Wall Street where all the holiday parties happen. He said sometimes he's found so many empties he needed 5 shopping carts to drag them all uptown to the recycling place. He goes, "After the holidays I don't work till it gets warm. Nothing there but a bunch of rats. I just take the bottles, I leave the food for them".

Los Angeles on the other hand, hires all of its seasonal election workers through an employment agency called Akkodis. That means they're temps, no benefits, no fuss, no muss. In exchange for which, they get $2 more per hour. Works for everyone.

The snow budget was already decided way before Mamdani took office. The mayor doesn't control this, it's controlled by the New York City Charter and is based off a rolling average from the last 5 years.

Only the formula is contained in the charter. The actual dollar amount is determined by the mayor, who runs the Department of Sanitation. When there's more snow, money gets pulled from somewhere else.
Your boy Mandani just took almost a billion dollars out of the city's rainy day fund. Maybe snow isn't your biggest problem.

True, if you live in Pig Snot, Nebraska, or Bum Fuk Idaho, but in NYC it's poverty wages.
After taxes, your take-home would be about $700 a week. This single room is $290 a week. It doesn't leave much for food, clothing, or savings. Plus, Park Slope is in Brooklyn. Add commute time to Manhattan.

You don't need to ID's to shovel snow. Anyone can shovel snow without ID.
You need the ID to be hired as an employee to comploy with the Federal Law requring completion of the Federal Employment Eligibility Verification Form (Form I-9). Completion of the form is mandatory to comply with federal labor law as part of the hiring process.
