She has no natural constituency. Most of the POT hates her for calling out Trump as a traitor and a danger to democracy. Dem's don't agree with her on policy matters. She couldn't get re-elected in WY for her House seat. She's a pariah to both sides.

As I have stated previously: "Liz Cheney may be the salvation of the traditional Republican Party." The current Republican Party is a long, long way from traditional.

Any Trump cultist scum who do in fact act to aid Trump or act to bring about the “termination of all rules, regulations, and articles, even those found in the Constitution” will be mercilessly crushed.

The MAGA cultists who give lip service to Trump’s madness will be politically defeated in the next period, whether they are still in and dominating the Republican Party, or are driven out, or leave sabotaging it.

Only after the craziest are crushed can the “normal” craziness of American two-party capitalist politics be re-established. That may take awhile. The alternative to Trump madness in the next period is unclear and not likely to be especially pleasant. But “Trump crazy” and the Trump cultists must be politically buried.

I think she's burned too many bridges with parts of the party that she might need. Though being anti-Trump might get her to win the Presidential election, it won't win her the primaries in the first place.

I don't agree with all of her political views. But, imo, she's one of the most outstanding women in politics. I would vote for her. I also think she has a quality that is incredibly rare in our politics: integrity.

Like it or not, she has the guts to say what she thinks and to stand up and take the heat from her detractors.

Liz Cheney is twice the man Donnie Trump could ever be. Bet she would NEVER whine and moan and act like a ******* crybaby, as donnie-boy does on a daily basis.

The GOP should embrace Liz Cheney, not ostracize her.

A “Trumpism w/o Trump” candidate like DeSantis could do well in ‘24, depending on the economy and how the dangerous international situation develops, and on who he runs against.

After all, demagogery has proved it can work to win elections for the party, and not just during Trump’s presidency.

I would like to see centrist or moderate Republicans emerge again and change some of their party’s policies, and become more rational and amenable to compromise — for example on immigration. This would force the Dems to act more responsibly as well. But the fact is overall the moderate wing of the Republican Party is weaker even than its neo-con warmongering wing, or its evangelical one.

The Republicans can do themselves a big favor by changing over to a “ranked choice” primary system for choosing their candidates. If they did this (very unlikely I fear) they might even save themselves, and end up with much higher-quality candidates.

How do you negotiate with people that utterly hate you, and refuse to make any compromises whatsoever? I mean, the Palestinians feel that the only way to peace is to kill off all the Jews. So what's the negotiating point of that, the Jewish to allow half of them to be killed?

The Democrat party went from Democrat to liberal, from liberal to progressive, now from progressive to socialist Democrat, whatever the hell that is. So tell us, what is the "moderate" position between constitutionalism and Communism?

Cheney could not even win her own state, who fired her for her fanatical obsession with Trump.

Democrats on the J6 Committee blamed her for the majority of the focus of the final report was on Trump, which is funny considering the whole reason for the J6 Committee was THEIR continued crusade to try to 'Get Trump'.

They welcomed her onto the committ then tried to blame her for the focus of the entire committee being Trump.
