Common sense says a retrial is warranted and that at least, Gov Abbott should grant an extension to examine new evidence.

I see a lot of cases on my shows

See no evil, murder tapes, American monster, evil lives here, diabolical, interrogation cam, etc. where there’s 100% certainty and no way you would ever let this person out free again.

I think we should tell prisoners that bad or sociopathic behavior can get you the death penalty.

Maybe that’s the answer. Everyone gets life but evil in prison, caught on tape, can get you put down.

I can't argue. There are a lot of people in prison that should be dead, no question about it. The world would be a much much much better place without them.

I'm serious about charging them for how they act in prison. If you are violent in prison, death penalty. Can't have you among the prisoners who we will one day let out and who are trying to change.

Yes I have a morbid interest in murder. It fascinates me how we live in a false sense of security that could change at a moments notice. I could even kill JD's grandmother. When I attack, she won't have time to get to any of the guns she has all over the house.

I'm freaked out by people who get stabbed to death.

I can't get the woman out of my head who survived. Her roommate didn't. When the cops showed up she was talking insane nonsense and clearly something was wrong. She was shot in the head. OMG!!!

Trust me dude, there is no psycho killer in me. I have way too much empathy for people.

But could I torture Bin Ladin? Probably. IDK. I'd have to be in the room and maybe see how I felt after I hit him once.

OR, the one guy never confessed what happened to the young girl. He went to prison and she was never found. Fuck that. Torture him till he shows you where the body is.

BUT, if he human traffic'ed her, the trafficers know his family and they'll kill them if he rats them out. So he's going to take what happened to her to the grave. But he better NEVER get out of prison.

I can't stand it when murderers get 10 or 15 or 20 years. Or, 40 years actually means 20. Fuck that. You should serve what you are given.

Abbott lets conservatives murder liberals. The BLM protester was walking down the street with his assault rifle. Just like Kyle Rittenhouse. But the conservative snowflake in the car saw him walking towards his car and he felt "threatened" and shot the guy for exercising his 2nd amendment right.

You can be sure if a KKK guy was protesting with an assault rifle and a black guy shot him, Mr. Abbott would not pardon the black guy.

We need to end the death penalty because it is stupid.

• There is no consistency in how it's meted out,
• It is often the sentence for morons and crazies who are, while legally competent, not practically competent,
• In most jurisdictions, it requires appeal after appeal, wasting untold resources on people who are simply not worth it,
• The appeals over many years forces the survivors of the victims to re-live their personal tragedy over and over,
• Revenge is not a legitimate goal of the criminal justice system,
• It is used so seldom that any hope that it might be a general deterrent is lost,
• It would be cheaper simply to house such prisoners in a single place, an island facility that is impregnable, and have the states pay a fee to have their "death row" inmates housed there. Guantanamo Bay comes to mind.

For the record, this is the first time I've agreed with the OP.

Actually, I don't like DNA. I don't trust cops or the justice system. They can say "it came back it's your DNA" but who knows if that's true. Maybe they "know" you did it so they say it's your DNA.

I've never heard of a defense attorney asking for the blood so they can have it independently tested and verified. It seems like 12 sheep just accept what they are told.

Like if Stormy had Trump's DNA. Would you believe it?
