A. To save lost sinners?
B. To seek and save that which was lost?

What's the difference between the two?

Why was Jesus sent?

Gawd had to reset and he had to do it by himself.

Jesus didn't have to "seek" out sinners as they were all around him all the time. He was to seek (search, find) and save something that was formerly 'found' but had been lost. Something that was precious to God. Could it be Israel?

You logic is all messed up dude.

You use the word seek in quote in one part, then w/o quotes in the other, but both instances are saying the same thing.

Then you're interjecting Israel.

What do you think the purpose of Israel is?

To get back to your OP though.

There's John 3:16

And John 19:10

It doesn't get more plain and simple than that.

Couldn’t God have just smited all the sinners instead of sending His only son to earth to die a horrible death while the sinners all got off scott free?

Most versions accurately state "seek and save that which is lost". Others simply say "save sinners" or words to that effect. The word "seek" is the misunderstood term in that sentence. To understand it fully one must read who Jesus actually sought out during his life.

"Jesus was sent to seek and save that which was lost."
"I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel."
See the connection?

It's as plain as day to me.

What about John 3:16 though? Address that.

Jesus said he was born into this world to testify to the truth.

A general statement that encompasses the church age as well as the judgment period. There are many such all-inclusive salvation statements. Jesus came to establish his church among the lost sheep of the house of Israel. Of course, the church grew over time to include others. Israel always welcomed the stranger. The Jews not so much.

While the RCC was murdering people the true church was safely hidden in the "wilderness". See Revelation 12.

The unbroken continuous existence of the church of Christ is the HRCC. There is no Christian church or congregation that can trace its lineage to Christ without tracing it through the HRCC. Your lack of objectivity is astounding.

Jesus was sent to bring about the immortality and eternal life of mankind. Through the resurrection of all mankind, Jesus has brought immortality to all! Through the atonement of Jesus Christ, if mankind will but humble himself and follow the teachings and commandments of the Lord Jesus Christ and repenting of their sins, they can also obtain the kingdom of heaven. All mankind will be saved by resurrection but only those who follow Jesus will be able to find themselves in the kingdom of heaven. The gospel is there for all to take in.
