Preposterous. The Republicans ran on a simple message. We suck but they suck worse. Nobody ran on the issues.

The Republicans blamed Biden for Inflation. Other than a trust is we will fix it when you elect us. No plan was actually produced. The same with the recession. Nothing to point to as a plan or policy other than Democrats are terrible.

I’ve been saying this for most of this century. Stop running against the other guy. Stop telling us what our interests are and how we are voting against them. If an ambitious fascist is going to allow elections to take place, he has to make the election a choice for himself, and he has to have the confidence that the voters will buy into him in big enough numbers.

Trump didn't have that this time and apparently he didn't have that in 2020.

If Trump can't do it at the ballot boxes then his next bid (and last bid) will have to be doing it by force.
