It does not require that the person committing the felonious action be the person whose crime was attempting to be hidden or aided in.

That crime was Cohen's. And yes Cohen was indicted, was charged, and was convicted in Federal Court. That conviction is/was an established fact the the connection made to Trump as part of the trial.

He was sentenced in January 3rd, 2025. Here it is August and there has been no appeal filed on the merits of the conviction.

The only appeal filed has been to move the case to federal court.

Notice is says "notice of appeal". That's just telling the trial court judge they plan on appealing.

That notice was filed in January and it's now August and they haven't actually filed the appeal of the case on the merits yet.

And the DA met all the requirements of the indictment.
