It goes back to the Obama error of 2012-2016. Democrats raised no one up to be good candidates because Hillary was the chosen one to succeed Obummer. Hillary was supposed to be running for a second term right now.

Any seasoned politician says nothing but sane things people want to hear, then after being elected doing as they please. Bill Clinton was a Master at it. So was Obummer. This 2020 Dem Clown Car is nothing but crazy talk that has Democrats running to Trump now.

Just a theory but methinks it has more to do with the fact that during the 8-Year Nimrod Regime the Republicans cleaned the Democrats clocks at every level Nationwide, they had no new talent getting elected to fill the bench because they were all getting their asses kicked at the ballot box and nobody worth a damn wanted to run as a Democrat.

If I'm not mistaken, the Democrats lost something like 1,100 seats nationwide while the Nimrod was in office.

Their Plan was: Hillary wins, 5th GunGrabber Anti-American on SCOTUS, full weight of US Intel turned against Republicans, southern border thrown wide open, Conservatives locked out of Social Media -- seriously, who needed candidates after that?

Good analysis, however I think you're underestimating the "We hate Donny so much, we'll vote for Satan" factor among the Democrat Lemming Faithful, the progressive dingbats may not like a centrist and the centrists may not like a progressive dingbat but many will get up off their lazy asses and go vote that wouldn't otherwise because they hate Donny so much.

We saw that phenomena in action during the 2018 Mid-Terms.
