Why Not Give War a Chance?

80% of Americans would rather focus on making life better for Americans than bombing people in the ME for our "Greatest Ally" who is off in Lebanon, not Iran, Lebanon

Hezbolla is an extension of the Iranian IRGC... Israel wouldnt have gone there but had to respond to the attack on Northern Israel. Hezbollah will now have no back up from Iran at this point so maybe they will get kicked out of the country.

I want life betetr for the U.S. primarily as well... but if the intel is true that Iran was close to nuclear weapons, then we would have seen the straight of Hormuz shut down and other oil producing countries in the M.E. also intimidated or worse. The government of Iran isnt interested in economic prosperity.. their main purpose is the Islamic revolution...which means the destruction of Israel, which also means using a NUKE to do it.
You want to bet they will stop there? So in weighing all of this I figure it IS in the U.S.'s long term interest to rid the world of that government. We are doing the world and ourselves a favor.

its only been 2 weeks... if we had your level of resolve in 1942 who knows what the outcome would have been. In the first 2 weeks of WW2 a great part of our pacific fleet was under water, how did we ever continue?
today we are faced with higher gas prices.... but you know that will be temporary unless you really believe Iran can defeat the United States militarily.

I dont know if it's that entirely.. but maybe. They think because of Iraq, it will be the same here. One big difference here is many of their neghbors also have great interest in seeing that government never get back up on their feet. During the Iraq war they were more apatheitic because IRAN was still there.
This just might be an epic moment in history if those who are suppossed to represent good would actually stand together... but. I think its not lack of courage. They just really really really HATE this president.. which is why only 2 days in you had democrat congressmen saying the effort was DOOMED to failure.

Statements like that are pathetic early on in any war effort, so they are putting personal feelings ahead of professionalism and whatever their duty to the people is.

But we're not even close to that point yet.

well there are about 10,000 and they live a very controlled existance pretty much all in one location.
I'm not sure what it means that they are not attacked... attack is probably not necessary. It's an interesting question though no doubt..... would be good to hear from an Iranian about it.
