CDZ Why I support Universal healthcare, and why I don't.

Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act which was to have the explicit task of achieving specified savings in Medicare without affecting coverage or quality.

Isn't that what we all want?
not when unelected bureacrats decide who lives or dies,,
Who elected those insurance company bureaucrats?
thats a stupid question,,,

we chose to do business with them,, not forced to at the point of a gun,,,
They are often the only game in town since most of us get health insurance through our employer.
true,, but before the government got involved they werent needed as much as they are now,,,

There is every incentive to skimp on care....just look at all the systems around the world.

What we need is more competition, not a government monopoly. Competition increases quality, access and lowers cost...

The free market capitalist system should work.

BUT IT HASN'T WORKED IN AMERICA!

Keep on trying and maybe Trump will magically reappear out of the clouds in 2024. Sent by baby jesus maybe??

If you want to stop feeling bad, get the chip off your shoulder and then follow along with your finger as you learn the truth from a commie. Right?

If a for profit company can do this better by all means do it. Right now it’s tough running one of these senior citizen hi poems. Hard to find help. Insurance is expensive. Regulations.

I think if for profit corporations could do it better they would be already and we wouldn’t have ever needed these programs in the first place

whats racist about it??
The ACA brings up Obama and Obama stirs the rabid right's pot for them. Then the whole conversation becomes hating and denial.

I suspect that a good deal of the reaon why Americans don't want a universal health care system for all the people is because too many black and brown people would benefit.

In reality, all Americans could have much better for about half the cost of the system overall. Why fret over black people getting a benefit too?

Does that mean you have already learned not to discuss health care with a Canadian?

Can you just answer me one question before you slink off with your tail tucked up between your legs?
Why do Americans feel the need to keep punishing themselves. It can only be a fear of being a communist if you're allowed a piece of the American pie!

WARNING: personal insult.

why would I want to discuss something I'm not a part of??? thats your country and your business not mine,,,

why are you worried about what we think?? you dont live here,,

maybe its you that needs to learn not to discuss american issues when your not american,,

as for the racist thing,, youre the only one that brought up race,, so that makes you the racist,,

catastrophic care only
Whats wrong with that?

you pay for the little stuff while insurance protects you from losing all you assets from a serious illness

Because for 350 dollars a month I should get better care than a policy that only kicks in after it drains me of 20 grand.
Twenty thousand dollars out of your pocket? What a deal!
In B.C. a couple can get complete insurance with no deductible for about 125 bucks. Go figure!

You can run away any time.

why are you worried about what we think?? you dont live here,,

I don't care what you think. I care about the disease and rot in America could somehow seep over our borders and infest us with the same.

maybe its you that needs to learn not to discuss american issues when your not american,,

The word is 'you're' but your request is still denied!

as for the racist thing,, youre the only one that brought up race,, so that makes you the racist,,

If you say so. And now maybe we should just leave it at that for this discussion until you get the chip off your shoulder. I wouldn't want to hear about some school being shot up because I had something to do with stoking up the rage.

your the only one with a chip on her shoulder,, and why your sticking youre nose where it doesnt belong,,,

No again! Canadian taxes and American taxes overall are close to equal.

But we pay quite a bit more for cigarettes and liquor, but I consider that to be a good way of taxing the people. It's probably got a lost to do with our life expectancy being so much higher! Not to discount the fact that thousands of Americans are 'taken out' every day.

Deal with that chip, this is going nowhere fast.

lying doesnt help your position,,,

Thank you - same back at ya...

The high costs is health insurance, and tort insurance doctors have to have... these two things drive up costs. That and hospitals constantly have to cover low incomers that don't pay. My daughter is an RT at a large trauma hospital in Indianapolis. Before COVID there were, what they refer to as "repeat customers", every single night. Multiple every night. These are homeless and drug addicts that come in repeatedly..over and over. They cannot refuse them. And they never pay a dime of course. They clog up ER's and waiting rooms and take up far too much time of the staff. That is 100% passed on to us.

This confirms my experience in ER's as well. I have had to visit them on occasion for my own wounds, escorting soldiers wounded in training, inmates, and protected persons. It never could escape my attention how many people were obviously unwashed homeless or otherwise impoverished people that had no ability to pay and were racking up serious bills. I will never forget one specific patient I observed that had a ghastly wound on her face. I over heard enough that she had been sliced with a knife just above her right eye, and down her face to her chin by another hispanic female. She was sobbing about regaining sight in her eye and seeing a plastic surgeon. I don't think she was more than 18 years old.

These cases are a routine in inner city ER's. With those and the repeat cases of homeless who lay in the street unresponsive, get picked up by ambulance and walk or get dragged out of ER's literally every day the bills must total so many millions of dollars on a regular basis that I doubt it can be accurately accounted for.

On top of these costs that get shoved on to the hospitals themselves that can not simply bill the government, the industry has to keep an army of lawyers and legal professionals on staff to maintain legal compliance with all of the shifting and changing regulations that burearcrooks pull out of their asses. Pieces of shit like Fauchi that should have been impaled on the Washington Monument out of Marine One last year on top of the bones of that meat puppet faggot.

Our health care system is completely fucked up beyond comprehension because of leftist political whores, sociopath lawyers, and globalist corporations. If anyone believes an elected official can fix this, they're a fuckin retard. The only way this becomes even slightly efficient is for the the private enterprise to be protected from asinine lawsuits, and the private charities allowed to establish clinics and sanitariums for those who are too far gone to be left out in the streets. There is certainly a place for government hospitals that offer services for reduced costs but tort reform would ruin a multi-billion dollar sociopath lawyer industry.

Well you got it right that far at least!
I would love to get into a complete discussion with you on more issues besides health care, but you probably wouldn't get much enjoyment out of it.

My commie head is already exploding with anticipation.

I don't think you can compare the cost of care 100 years ago with the cost today. We took the easy way out by giving businesses and employees tax breaks instead of keeping them separately funded.

whos going back a 100yrs,, I'm talking about when the medicaid act was passed that put the government deep into the system,,

if you look deep into it you will see a lot of restriction and controls of the whole system not just medicaid,,
