I'm guessing the fish with eyes did not live in the same cave (or any cave probably) with the blind one. I suspect the photographer took fish from two different environments and brought them together for a photo op to contrast them or as a hoax on the easily fooled.

I am trying not to guess. Thank you again for telling me you are no expert on this topic. My Evolution book is on my bed and maybe I will actually read all of it. Over 700 pages for me is plenty of work.
