Why don't you want to tax the rich?

Think again
Can you document your statement that we spend more per capita than other countries? The relevant comparison here would be Scandinavian countries. We should also consider the large military budget.

At any rate, there is little support for specific cuts in the domestic budget, and much support for a more progressive tax system.

When we slashed taxes on those firms they didn’t share with the workers

They kept it
Workers get paid a salary. Plus they often have other benefits like health care insurance.

Before the pandemic when we were talking about raising the minimum wage, you guys said the same thing. Now the starting rate for a lot of "flipping burger" jobs is $13 an hour. Prices rose with it but the businesses you guys swore would close up and go out of business never happened.
Wrong. Minimum for burger flippers in CA is $20/hr. I think the 1200 Pizza Hut workers in CA would rather have a job at the lesser wage.
The minimum wage in WA is $17.13/hr, highest in the nation. Many mom and pops and fast food franchises have closed as a result.

If you make UNDER $100,000.00 a year, you should NEVER be taxed.

And anything over $100,000.00 a year, you pay 2% per every $100,000.00 over.
BUT..........
You ONLY get tax breaks for paying knowledgable/skilled/intelligent employees high wages with high standard benefits and free training while being employed (if the employee wants it), IF you own a company/business.

Guess what?

Even the super wealthy have to contribute to society
Change to a sales tax system and the whole of the public pays part to keep it going. The super wealthy already pay an excessive burden. 40 percent of the public pays no federal income taxes.

The military provides for our national security. That’s providing a critical service to the people.
We haven’t been invaded in 200 years

If you are opposed, why?

Why do you oppose aggressive taxation of people making more than $250,000+ a year or $400,000+ a year annually?
Because they're poor people. They pay so much in tax, whereas I only pay a small amount, even though it's like 50% of what I spend.

Also, because they tell me that the rich shouldn't be spent. It shows just how poor they are that they have to spend money on this.

Is that what you think, fido?
