Why don't Democrats openly endorse socialism?

the ways socialism "improved" America

1. when W socialized senior drugs, he flooded America's high schools with pills, never mind the actual cost of socializing senior drugs is now 10 fold from the stated "estimate" in 2004

2. The Dems and John SELLOUT McAIPAC socialized the status of S&Ls by guaranteeing their deposits in the early 1980s.... when that behaved like every other form of socialism, the US taxpayer was out to the tune of $800 billion bailout out the likes of Charles Keating

3. When W and the Dems, including billionaire Franklin ABOVE THE LAW Raines, decided Uncle Sam should socialize the risk that people buying too expensive homes might not pay their mortgage, the end result was the housing bubble and the depression of 2008, costing the US taxpayer 2 trillion dollars

Whenever socialism is enacted, the US taxpayer gets soaked, and the Dems and their fellow big spenders in the GOP get rich....

After all the fear we went through with McCarthyism one would think that every American
would be able to know the definition of socialism and communism. Socialism has never led to Marx's communism. But schools were afraid to teach about either communism or socialism to students, As a nation we were ignorant about both, and it is borne out on these boards. I don't know if socialism is good or bad but America has it. (Whatever socialism is.)

Give this man a cigar! Winner, winner, chicken dinner!

It seems to me that Democrats want socialism but are afraid to say they want socialism. Why is that? Is it because they are embarrassed to be socialists? Is it because they can't make an affirmative argument for socialism? Or is it because they know it is wrong to steal other people's money and they don't want to go on record as being thieves?

Can some of you more socially minded fellows explain what your hold up is on socialism?
I suggest you look up a definition of socialism, bro, cause you aint got a clue to what you are talking about
