When W and the Dems, including billionaire Franklin ABOVE THE LAW Raines, decided Uncle Sam should socialize the risk that people buying too expensive homes might not pay their mortgage, the end result was the housing bubble and the depression of 2008, costing the US taxpayer 2 trillion dollars


Whenever socialism is enacted, the US taxpayer gets soaked, and the Dems and their fellow big spenders in the GOP get rich....

After all the fear we went through with McCarthyism one would think that every American
would be able to know the definition of socialism and communism. Socialism has never led to Marx's communism. But schools were afraid to teach about either communism or socialism to students, As a nation we were ignorant about both, and it is borne out on these boards. It seems to me that Democrats want socialism but are afraid to say they want socialism. Why is that? Is it because they are embarrassed to be socialists? Is it because they can't make an affirmative argument for socialism? Or is it because they know it is wrong to steal other people's money and they don't want to go on record as being thieves?

Can some of you more socially minded fellows explain what your hold up is on socialism?

Yes, a "Mission to Mars" is much better socialism than a War on Drugs.
