Only about one percent of cops are actually bad cops. Need the study, just ask, I have it right here. Any large organization wishes they only had one percent of bad apples. Teachers, Catholic priests, boy scouts, wall street, corporations. They all wish it was only one percent.

That goes both ways. Years ago I used to deliver home medical equipment. Many times I found myself in the wrong neighborhood.

A few times a housing authority cop stopped me just because I was white. He took my drivers license, called in the plate of my company van, questioned me about what I was doing in the projects.

After I convinced them of my business there, they were more than appreciative of my cooperation. On a few occasions, they escorted me to the proper apartment of the patient so I wouldn't get hurt. They confided in me that the only reason they questioned me was because of my race. The only white people that go to the projects are those looking to buy or sell drugs. Hey, I understood. I did whatever I had to do to make the officer as comfortable as I could. Never had a problem with those police.
