Why does Islam seem to have more violent fanatics than other religions?

I know that other religions were violent too in the past but today in modern age it seems that Islam is the only big religion that has a lot of people who are willing to spread their religion by violence and blood.

I have lots and lots of Muslim friends. In my job right now, I work with a staff that is at least 50% Muslim. I've lived in three Muslim countries and had friends, colleagues, and neighbors who are Muslim. They are just like anyone else. You are very ignorant.

I have worked closely for years with Muslim women who are highly educated, who drive, who live essentially the same life any other woman around the world lives. The idea they need permission from their husband is not a reality for modern people. I have know many adult Muslim women who are not married and travel all the time, on their own. Saudi Arabia is the only country that lives according to full Sharia law. All other Muslim countries in the world have limited sharia laws. Modern Muslims are not ruled by ancient guidelines in the Koran any more than modern Christians live by the guidelines in the Bible. When was the last time Christians stoned an adulterer? But it is required in the Bible. You are ignorant. You believe the limited information you get about fundamentalists and terrorists is the reality for most Muslim people. It isn't.

And btw, I know and work with many Indian women, Hindis. They too have arranged marriages; there are many cultures that have arranged marriages, not just Muslims.

My experience has not been superficial. I have lived among Muslims. They have been neighbors, colleagues and friends. I have traveled with them. I have been to their homes and they to mine. I have been to family events such as weddings. There are 1.7 billion Muslims in this world. The vast majority do not live under Sharia law, or only in some limited way. I have known lots of Western women who married Muslims. It was no different than marrying a man from any other religion or culture: if you marry outside your culture, there will be differences, but the women I know do not have horror stories to tell about their marriages to Muslim men and most have been married to them for 20 or 30 years. You must be lying or have very, very limited experience of the Muslim world. My experience far outdistances the superficial experience you appear to have had.

the arab society provide very little power for women except
their power over their HOUSEHOLD and THE WIVES OF
THEIR SONS. This situation creates a big problem
for women but it IMPROVES with age if a woman has
sons. Once a woman has a few boys and they grow
up and the mom has the wives.......she is all in favor of
"the system" that provides her with some control over her sons and LOTS of control over their wives. Don't expect her
to tell her sons to give the keys to the car ----to Fatimah.
Mom never had it so good. Meanwhile----back on the ranch----Fatimah's mom is developing her own power for the first
time-------she has HER sons wives. When Fatimah screams "MOM ---it's lousy here----I want to come home---"

First and foremost, Arab society is different than Moslem society. Now are you thinking Arabs and Islam are one in the same. Arab society in the Arabian peninsula precedes Islamic society. I do not presume that every country that is, Arab, is the same as another. So what may be true for you is definitely not the same everywhere, most likely from region to region or house to house, it could vary greatly.

You were right in the middle of it, well if I take you as an intelligent person and honest to your word than you stated you were in an Arab Society, not an Islamic Society, this thread and my post was in reference to Islam. Not the "Arab" society you make a claim of.
