From Home Depot, I hired two guys to dig in my backyard, and believe me or not, they were black Americans and they did a good job at a very reasonable price.

The second part of my project was to be made months later. I lost the phone number of the former guys so I went to the same Home Depot to hire two new workers.

First reaction of one of the guys was "I won't kill myself digging for $10.00 per hour". It was an illegal immigrant. I told him that no price has been settled yet, but I was asking who wants to do the work.

Two guys told me they want to see first the job to be made. I gave them my address because one of them told me he has his own car.

They arrived minutes after I did to my house. His car was past year model, with GPS and sunroof, etc. I noticed his phone was the $1000 iPhone. He and the other guy tried to charge me $250 each per day.

I said no thanks.

With this pandemic, having my family at home, we did the job ourselves.

And I was wondering, from all those illegal immigrants, how many of them live day by day and how many of them make good income to the point of being capable to buy new cars /or almost new cars and have a phone better than mine?

Illegal immigrants in my neighborhood have brand new trucks, 4x4, but they live 5 and more families in a two bedroom house.

I think they don't need any help and that they can manage to survive very well.

I think that the government must stop persecuting/prosecuting them because they are illegally in this country, but also the government must stop giving them any path to citizenship by all means, not to them neither to their children.

They came illegally at their own risk, then they must live in the US at their own risk as well. No help must be provided to them, because they have proved they can make good income and buy houses and cars. The ones who didn't, well, they came illegally at their own risk.

Best way to stop illegal immigration is to cut off the whole ways of help given to them. Cut off all the opportunities for them to obtain permanent residence and citizenship.

A constitutional amendment to give citizenship by birth solely to the children of US citizens and or permanent residents, something similar to UK where, I think, check the grandparents to be UK citizens as requirement, otherwise the new born must obtain the parents foreign country citizenship. (UK became tough with illegal immigrants because African pregnant women used to cross the waters and have children in UK to make them UK citizens by birth, similar to Mexican women and the US).

No persecution against illegal immigrants, but if by any reason they are caught, then to apply the immigration law to the book.

The simpler the rule, the simpler the solution.

Illegals are not citizens, but some of them do manage to vote with the help of Democrats who issue them driver's licenses and even encourage them to vote in local elections. No, you are absolutely WRONG. When I was a kid, we were taught that it isn't whether you win or lose, it's how you play the game. The rules matter.

In school I was taught that there are three branches of government: the Legislative, the Judicial and the Executive. I was taught they were co-equal branches of government with a set function. I was also taught that the Constitution was the law of the land. You say you don't understand my post? It's because the schools taught you a lot of B.S. and you've been programmed to accept a government that is at odds with the Constitution. That Constitution only gives the federal government ONE job with respect to foreigners. That job is found in Article I Section 8 of the Constitution: "Congress shall have the power... To establish an uniform Rule of Naturalization." That is citizenship. Who a state does and does not allow into their respective states to participate in the free market economy is a state's rights issue. So, how did we get this notion that the immigration laws the Democrats passed to disenfranchise the white people were law?

The United States Supreme Court, in 1875, granted "plenary powers" to Congress over all foreigners and laws pertaining to them. The problem you have is that the Constitution does not give the United States Supreme Court any authority to bestow upon any other branch of government ANY POWERS. Period. End of story. Such a proposition is contrary to the Tenth Amendment. What that means is that the United States Supreme Court legislated from the bench and made law, not interpreted the law. Now, that may make you as happy as a fly in a pile of shit, but the principle (called a precedent in legal terminology) has allowed the United States Supreme Court to be legislators as well as arbiters of the law. Sounds good when you apply it to immigration, but not so much when you think of all the damaging things the high Court has done to things like abortion, gun Rights, the Fourth Amendment and your Right to Privacy along with... no surprise... voting. So, if that's the way you want the game to be played, you may as well send 535 federal legislators home and scrap the whole notion of voting. There's no question that many people in the US (mostly Democrats) like illegal immigration. You are close to understanding the situation. I commend you for that. But, here is the real deal:

When it comes to Hispanics, they are willing to have multiple families live in a home and they work for what they get. Once a family has money and the means of self sufficiency, they leave that home and rent / buy one of their own. If another friend or family member needs help, they follow suit. Contrast that to American culture. How many American families actually work, split the rent, and once one has saved enough for a good automobile and the money needed for a house or apartment, they take off and become independent themselves? The answer would be very low. We don't work that way. The current generation may stay under mommy's roof, but there are far more of those that don't believe in working than there are those just staying, helping out and saving up to move out and move on with their life. We have a generation of freeloaders. Hence, the problem.

Secondly, I've tried to hire Americans, but they are hard to find. We have a ministry that seeks to help white guys who are disenfranchised and locked out of the system. If they don't have a job and cannot get one right away, we offer gigs. So I will get a low income family that needs home repairs and we will do the job for a fraction of what the big box guys will do the job for. I don't even take a salary myself. So, you hire a crew, everything is ready and it's 30 minutes after starting time and an hour before a cement truck shows up. The white guys, if they have a cell phone, don't answer. I go to the closest place where day laborers (generally Hispanic) hang out and get the guys I need. The MAGA crowd calls me all kinds of a son of a bitch. So, I should allow a low income guy NOT get his house fixed at a price he could afford? I should take the hit for the wages of guys that I have no work for on that day because an insufficient number of people don't show? No, that's stupid. I'm hiring who I need to get the job done. In Wickard v. Filburn, the high Court ruled: "It is hardly lack of due process for the Government to regulate that which it subsidizes."

Put simply, the federal government can withhold federal funds to any jurisdiction that gives sanctuary to undocumented foreigners when such funds are used to the undocumented foreigners benefit. The feds can regulate foreign workers with a Tax ID specific to guest workers (In order for that to work, we have to repeal the National ID / REAL ID Act - E-Verify legislation.) We do not have to extend the privilege of voting to non-Citizens. We do not have to allow any foreigner access to welfare or even unemployment benefits (though this is a STATE issue to be decided in each state.) If you don't want drugs flowing across the border, then there is a dynamic you have to change... The United States is the drug capital of the world - and most drug addicts are created by parents, the schools, government, doctors, and Big Pharma. Quit creating drug addicts.

Since the Spanish media channels are pathetically inferior, the immigrants switch oer to English channels with better shows. The Spanish stations thus need a constant influx of people who speak only Spanish.
