The fact that you think "homosexual" or "girl" are somehow effective insults leads me to believe that you are as I said five. Or have a pecker the size of a matchstick and feel you need to compensate.

I usually don't engage in trolling. And like to actually talk. But in this case, it got away from me.

It was bad even before Citizens United. Yeah, unfettered money means unlimited ads and other forms of campaigning, but even "good ol' fashioned" lobbying can be rigged the system.

Say I'm Congressman Doe. I legitimately want to do what is right. I am intelligent and usually make sound, rational decisions. But I don't know everything about everything. So I rely on experts to give me their professional opinion on things.

Then I meet McSatan. McSatan works for an agribusiness, something I know little about. McSatan takes me to dinner and zorbing. McSatan is my now my friend.

When a bill makes its way thru committee that would regulate agribusiness, McSatan calls me up and takes me to lunch. Just two friends enjoying what just so happens to be an expensive meal. McSatan tells me why the agribusiness bill is bad. It makes him sad. McSatan cries.

I don't want my buddy to be sad. So I do my best to kill the bill.

I'm not corrupt. I want to do what's right. But all my time is spent chilling with McSatan. All the input I get regarding agribusiness comes from McSatan. McSatan is my friend. He wouldn't steer me wrong.

Lobbying is so named because moneyed interests used to meet with President Grant in the lobby of a local hotel. Grant was a good, honest man. But the only people who spoke to him, the only people with access... weren't. That's the insidiousness of lobbying.
