Why Conservatives Are Obsessed With This Bad College Essay

B.S. Same was said about going to the moon.

To me it's crazy that people can understand that things in the womb can go wrong so that the sex of a newborn baby is indeterminate but it's somehow impossible for other things to go wrong.
No, the same was not said. Nobody ever said I believe I'm on the moon and magically were. There was real science involved, not subjective hoping and making stuff up. You loons just keep digging the hole deeper and deeper.

The problem here is there were no facts in the essay. Had there been the student would not be having issues.
The problem is that you have a trans person in power throwing a hissy fit.

what if the student doesnt believe the age of the world according to geologists?
What if I don’t believe 1+1=2 ? Do I get to answer math problems however I feel? You “F your feelings”and “just do as you’re told “ crowd sure are tolerant of this persons feelings and bullshit.

That might fly in a philosophy class, but if all the course material is subjective voodoo science no answer is set in stone. Funny, the 'do as you told' crew are you loons, dissent is punished severely. This sad episode is the result of this student rejecting the loony liberal indoctrination.

1+1=2 is pretty concrete and not disputed by religion, the origins of the universe, however, are.

"Fulnecky was failed by the course's instructor, who is a graduate student, on the grounds that she neglected to address the prompt and relied on "personal ideology" over "empirical evidence," - Newsweek

And that"s how you get a zero on a college essay.

Such indignance and stupidity might get you sealclaps at a TPUSA rally, but it gets you a zero, on a college essay.

Again, I believe this was an essay based upon an opinion. There is no "empirical evidence" for an opinion and the author of the essay is the utmost expert on her opinion.

No. The essay writer was tasked with discussing gender stereotypes found in middle schools and how it affects the childrens' mental health.

The other students described them and discussed them, bolstering any arguments made with objective evidence, like clinical items from the psychology text material, data on children's mental health, etc.

The students were not asked to give their opinions of the stereotypes or what a
sky daddy thinks of them.

"Because my favorite sky daddy said so" is not evidence or argument, nor should it be treated as such. Nor did she even answer the prompt of the assignment.

She got the grade she deserved. And if she had used Zoroaster instead of Yaweh, not a single white Christian nationalist would be saying a single thing about it.

First, I hate when people rely upon the argument you closed with. How someone else might or might not have reacted to something has absolutely nothing to do with my argument and is 100% irrelevant.

She was asked to write on people's gender roles. There is no scientific answer to that. We can see here and in many places different reactions to that. She was not asked to write on a black and white manner.

I can guess I would not agree with her at all BUT it is her opinion.

What I believe can very much be different than what she believes.

Good thing I didn't rely on it one single bit, when addressing her well deserved zero.

That was just commentary. It also was not an argument. It was a statement.

She was asked to write on people's gender roles.
Wrong. She was asked to write on middle school gender stereotypes and how they affc t the childrens' mental health. She was expected to describe them and then make arguments or give analysis based on objective evidence about how they affect mental health.

She did not do this. She instead wrote a manifesto on what the gender stereotypes SHOULD be, and that they are correct ones because her favorite sky daddy says so.

So she got the grade she deserved.

People react in many different ways. There is no one way "empirical evidence" way people react.

Looks like you would also fail the class, as you don't seem to understand the assignment.

The question was: “Discuss how people are perceived based on social gender stereotypes” in a course that was how social expectations shape gender. For example Girls can cry without being ridiculed but Boys are expected to never cry and will be ridiculed for crying.

What she answered wasnt about how social expectations shape how people are perceived, instead she argued that traditional roles are the only way people should live because the Bible says so and that trans people are demonic.

That doesn’t address how people’s perceptions are based on social gender stereotypes. She posted it on her twitter. It’s a zero for the assignment.

In what context? That's what a halfway educated and intelligent person would say.

You people are too used to having around dumb people and watching dumb people like Charlie Kirk and Matt Walsh.
Factually inaccurate. They're only watching Matt Walsh.
