What are you talking about? I responded to another poster who seemed to be saying that any non-citizen who is found guilty of any crime, including speeding, should be deported. I was asking for clarification to see if that was, in fact, the intent of the post.

Your post has nothing to do with that. I neither mentioned driving without a license, nor criminally negligent homicide, which is the charge that Quintero-Rosales seemed to be charged with from my reading. Nor did I make fun of anyone.

In fact, from what I've been able to gather, the sentence had nothing to do with the politics of the judge nor the immigration status of the driver; according to a lawyer quoted in this article, it was "the prescribed maximum sentence for a type of offense of this nature." Trump has done that as well. He added 25 more deportation courts and has plans on another 25.

We have less and less illegals crossing into the country because we finally have a President that is taking a serious stance on the issue. People are more fearful of coming here illegally, and I think that it will also have an effect on over-stays.
