An autopsy from a reliable source, and maybe some videos from cameras that may show the approach of the car would prove helpful. What are the odds of that happening? Does Tesla store the information from the vehicle, and why did he rent it? The car approach could prove very enlightening. There was also a witness standing next to the vehicle when it detonated, I wonder what he (or she) has to say?

I think dude killed himself. I think he was supposed to drive that electric vehicle into the front of the Trump Hotel and he just could not do it consciously, so he instead shot himself and the explosives went off.

I don't know for sure, I'm just guessing. Uni-bombers are supposed to blow themselves up not shoot themselves (Las Vegas) nor get shot (New Orleans).

Nothing you have read says he detonated them after shooting himself, unless that was in error. Only that they detonated after he shot himself. Kind of an important distinction.

Conspiracies amongst humans, especially humans holding power and authority, are as common as fleas on dogs. It's part of the human condition, but the government would have me believe they rarely happen.

Sounds like he was having some mental issues. These affect everything. He clearly was not thinking rationally.

Anyone could have built a better bomb, following instructions found on the internet. That's not saying much.
