Why aren't Presidents Required to Serve in the Military to be President?

And the people in those other professions don't do that?
Not to the country or society no. Not like those in the service. You could make the argument that 1sr responders are in that category. But not a plumber. Plumbers are plumbers to make money not because of some higher calling.

You should ask the current President he has one more deferment than the guy you're obsessed with.
Did Trump's bonespurs bother him when he was chasing tail out slumming in NYC strip joints, that poor thing?

Every monarch in the world going back hundreds of years wears a military uniform including our Brit. allies. The U.S. prides itself in civilian (elected) control over the U.S. Military and that's the way it should be.
Heh. If every active duty person serving in the White House donned a uniform every day, we'd look like a third world country.

There are a lot of military personnel in the White House.

I think it should be the other way around, that no one who served in the military should be eligible at all for president.
Why?
Because the military is inherently a dictatorship that ignores individual rights and strictly follows the edicts of a hierarchy.
That may be necessary for the military, but is totally and completely contradictory to a democratic republic, and also is extremely susceptible to corruption.
It is much like a monarchy, the very thing all citizens of a democratic republic should fear and hate.
only people who have been in the military should get to vote

And the underlying point.

The movie, even if it was utterly unable to follow the story of the books, was trying to stay close to the political narrative.

It totally wasn't.

The world of Heinlein's book wasn't a fascist dystopia that the movie portrayed.

I like the Starship Trooper model. Only those who served their country can be citizens.

Of course the original idea by our Founding Fathers would have been the best. Only White land owning males would be allowed to vote.

Good luck maintaining the current average standard of living without plumbers.

But Heinlein was not necessarily saying it was good to require military service before voting.
And in fact, if I remember "Starship Troopers", it turns out the war was the fault of the humans.
The humans are depicted in black leather and look like Nazi SS.
You’re thinking the movie, not the book. The movie was an abortion, neither the director or the screenwriter read the book. The name was picked after the filming just to hype a mediocre movie.
