I just spent 2 hours removing 'stickups' from the walls of an apartment I'm cleaning. The tenant will pay dearly for my time. The adhesives on the stickups on the shower tiles were so strong that I had to use hammer and chisel to remove them. They are also going to pay dearly for refrigerator parts that were broken.

And why people steal ice cube trays is an enduring mystery to me. Eight out of ten apartments are missing ice cube trays when tenants move out.

I have always taken the sticky off with rubbing alcohol.

I use "Goo Gone" or "De Solv It" as they won't harm the surface of walls or doors. Even then some are stubborn especially if they've been there a long time. Some adhesives won't come off with any of these products.
